well folks, need someone to give me a good kick up the *expletive removed*, it wont change what i have done, but i hope someone can learn from it, this happened on tuesday and im still so mad with myself, o.k here goes, im at work from 5.30 in the morning till 6 at night, so find it really hard to get the time to get the birds as i want them, ( please dont any 1 feel sorry for me) anyway, first week of racing after alot of effort training most nights after work (weather had been okish) was 2nd club which i was chuffed to bits with flying natural, did the same the week after, weather o.k, was 1st 2nd 3rd club and 1st 10th 13th fed, over the moon first time for me on cloud nine. next week weather crap all week, hardly went out of the loft, as raining nearly every night after work. did'nt think it would make much of a difference! anyway was last in the club! did i sulk or what! so this week i thought going to make em have it this week, and the weather been crap! anyway took monday night bit windy and slight rain, training at 18 miles by the way! took 25 birds dropped 1 2 year old hen! just thought it was 1 of those things, heres the killer blow took them tuesday night was as black as the ace of spades, trees were bent double with the wind! took em to my 18 mile point, was still raining but thought that would be no problem! took 24 birds, realased at 7 p.m i got back at 7.30 and look across the pond, (was already thinking what have i done) lashing it down now and wind was very stong! 7.32 had 15 drop, got a further 3 before 9 when it was to dark for me to see and went home! next morning when my wife went down there was 1 waiting to be let in, thats 20 birds now, and by the time i got back last night, there was 3 birds there! all totally ripped apart by the wires, had to stich 1 of them up, kill 1,( which had won for me before) and the other no good for this season! im an utterley disgusted with myself, what i did was cruelty! and all for what winning a club race this weekend! i have learned alot this week. thanks for reading!
