  1. O.K. so that means all clocks set on that system would be reading 2 minutes fast at setting,if one of the members clocking sheet said he clocked in at say 15.02 this infact would be 2 minutes off the correct time so really he clocked at 15.00,therefore any members whose clock was set on that system should have that 2 minutes taken off all their clockings.
  2. So on the first post where it says system b set at 13.02 operator error does he mean the clock was set 2 mins fast or was 13.02 the correct time,if it was set 2 mins fast then this will make a lot of difference to the debate.
  3. Surely both club base stations were set by tim or another system so although one was set two minutes later they both had the correct time showing on them not two minutes out so the actually time the bird was clocked is the correct time,it does not matter that the one master timer was set 2 mins.different it was still the correct time,so as long as the guy puts the time of setting down and the time of checking off down when he does the result the correct variation and flying time will be on the result.
  4. Can you tell me if system b,s time was set correct to Tim or whatever system you set by.
  5. I,m sorry but if he does that the flying times will not be correct,as I said before it makes no diference that clocks are set on two different systems so long as the setting time and checking times are used in the calculation of the result.
  6. Makes no difference if the clock is set and checked on different systems,we had that the weekend when people flew with the National Flying Club so clocks were set at the marking station but checked off at our club, the most important thing is when the result is worked out is that the setting time and checking time of each clock be used in working out the result or else a false flying time will be given.
  7. When doing our result I put in the setting times and checking off times of every ETS clock, this is the only way to get a correct variation,ETS CLOCKS ARE NOT ALWAYS CORRECT at strike off, manual clocks are usually all set and checked off at the same time but if not their times are also put into the result programme individually. You cannot do it any other way to get a true flying time as the clock variation will be different if you start adding or taking away minutes to the setting and checking times,or even thinking that the ETS clock is correct at strike off.
  8. You need to click on the result to enlarge it.
  9. Sent 3 to Cholet with the National Flying Club.354 miles. Sent 11 to Carentan in the club with the Heart of England Fed.198 miles. Sent 13 to Exeter in the club with the Heart of England Fed,who have a inland race the same week as the Channel. 115 miles. Thank goodness for ETS.
