Only improvement here near Worcester is that it as stopped raining.the first time I think in 24 hours.

Is anyone racing TODAY,our first race from Wincanton as been put back until tomorrow.

Whilst assigning the Unikon rings yesterday onto our members birds we found that some rings would not accept the members loft number allthough there was no problem assigning it to the pigeon,any idea,s why this only happened with a few rings.

Does anyone know if i can print off the order of my birds arrival when the Bricon Speedy is in training mode.

Well put Pompeymick, and Sammy the wife kindly clocks in for me or i try and be clever and estimate what time the birds will be home and plan my job around it,(i have missed them on a few occasions)but to me this is not what ETS is about,it is the work that it will save people on marking and checking nights that will be the biggest factor.(I am Secretary and treasurer and clock setter of our club and have been for nearly 30 years.)

I,m sorry Rick but I just had to reply to your posting,I have bought a ETS system and had to work my B---- off to get it,it was not because i wanted the most expensive clock,infact they can be cheaper than a new T3, or the fact that I didn,t want to be there to see my birds come home no! in my job there maybe times when I cant be there,so what do you sujjest I do pack up racing,as lots of people have said if you dont want to use it dont,but dont start critisising those that do.

So they bought it in illegally did they,i,m sure Mr.Bryant and the rest of Council that voted it in would be very pleased to hear that.

I think that the biggest advantage that the ETS will bring is going to be on a Friday and Saturday night,no more writing out race sheets before you go to the club,and then when you are at the club,no more writing down the rubber numbers,no more striking of clocks,and then on Saturday nights no more checking rubbers, no need for everyone to be there at a certain time to strike off clocks,as a club secretary it,s going to make my job so much easier.

I seem to be having a problem posting the ring numbers of two strays i have picked up,I know this is the wrong place but at least the numbers have come up,(I hope) they are WHU.06.C.00653 and SU.05.M.6069,I dont have any lists for Welsh or Scotish birds can any one help out to find the owners.

I find this very strange after only reading last night that there were no new restrictions by Defra and it was business as usual,are the restictions you mention new ones that have been decided on today.

Interested to know if you have contacted the secs,of any of the birds to find out if they were lost birds or wether they had been transferred to the person who did it,that would be a way of finding out who did it and then reporting him to the R.P.R.A.

Paul have checked all the above that i can,here are the club secs,phone numbers that i can find,J55204 is a national flying club ring,K46282 is from Minehead sec.01643 706686.S77740 is from sodbury vale bristol sec,01179 372310,R20379 is from cheshire sec.01925 638154.Z82905 is a midland national ring.Looks like it could be someone who as got rid of a lot of strays.

Did you not find out when you put the lofts up if you had to stick to certain council rules before erecting them.Most councils have differant rules and regulations which if you stick with them from the start you dont usually get any problems.

I would be inclined to get back in touch with the R.P.R.A. and explain to them whats happened,ask them for his address or ask them to report it direct to him.

ARE you talking about the envelope that the clock setter uses to write down your timings from the race,if you are he should only give you the top copy as the rest should be sent to the secretary by the guy in charge of the clock station,is this the N.F.C.you are talking about.

Thunderbolt,If only one member buys a Bricon system the club eqipment comes free,Ronnie I would check out about your club not allowing it they could be breaking RPRA rules,if your clubs in the RPRA that is.
