Probably why the RPRA didn,t think it necessary to make it a rule.
-
I believe this was explained before by Expat.it,s something to do with the International Races i think.
-
There would be no problem to do it but the RPRA says it doesn,t have to be done, but it seems that some Feds.are going against RPRA ruling which is wrong.
-
Just checked on the members race arrival sheets for today nowhere does it record the serial number of the pad or pads on UNIKON or BRICON.
-
I would tell these fanciers to strongly object to being disqualifield and take the Fed to the region if necessary because they are most deffinatly wrong.
-
Mick your fed are completely out of order they cannot go above a RPRA ruling, see last weeks BHW page 6.
-
Not having much luck with this one mate,I would say that it,s a private ring that somebody as made themselves especially when you say it as been painted metalic red.
-
I would say up to 350 miles.
-
The wife says she hopes your right Jason as 32 is the one she bought.

So what are YOU saying then Dazza that ETS makes the birds come faster,Of course you loose time with ETS,you still got to get them to trap,i,m sorry but i still cant see how you can say its unfair, you could say the same about someone using a stalltrap or open doors or a T3 strapped round their neck with a kwickstart fitted,if you read the RPRA notes you will see why it was bought in so quick(perhaps you think thats rubbish also)i,m not sure if you are the top flyer in your club at the moment but i can assure you that buying a ETS wont make you, so the other members have nothing to fear, and yes I do care one hell of a lot about my club thats why i,m Secretary, treasurer, clock setter, for the club the NFC,THE CSCFC,THE MCC,and up until last year THE MNFC as well as fed delegate and also on the fed,s emergency committee, and when you say about giving people time to prepare I have spent probably the last 6 months at least trying to find out as much as i can about ETS so that any member in our club that wants to use it can.
-
Sorry Dazza i cant see any reasoning in your comments at all,How does it show the true velocity of the bird over any other clock you still have to get the bird home and then get it to go over the pad,why should the governing body lose more members just by bringing in a new clock(after all thats all it is ) why wait until 08 or 09 to bring it in people have had plenty of time to decide wether or not to have it,why you think many members will pack in at the end of the season baffles me,if it,s because of a new clock coming out well i think thats a very poor excuse, not sure how well you fly at the moment but buying a ETS system wont make you any better and as for saying it will ruin your club well thats probably the best one i,ve heard so far, also why you think you will be at a disadvantage when competing at a higher level sorry but i still can,t see your reasoning there either.
-
Probably for the same reason you keep repeting the same old garbage about adding a time penalty onto people who CHOOSE to use it,not to gain any advantage over the next fancier but because it suits them.
-
As you say Ransom you still got to get the birds home and if you had 21 in 70 seconds thats brilliant flying mate nothing to do with ETS.
-
If you got the birds and the know how you will compete against the guy with ETS even if you got a TOULET,when are some of you guys going to realise it,s not the clocking system that makes you a good fancier.
-
Whats happening is the auction still open or as Wayne got the birds.
-
Ulsterlofts, would be very interested to know what the basic set up is being sold for over there,
-
I did have some problems weeks ago but i think this was simply because the systems hadn,t arrived in the country but as far as i know there should be no hold ups now, which agent are you dealing with
-
The Unikon does that Dave.
-
Hi Dave,We used 2 systems in the club Bricon and Unikon, the problems we had i think were mainly down to not having them set up properly in the first place but as the manuals do not give much informasion on setting the club systems up on the computer to start with I found it quite difficult, allthough i must admit the agents of both systems were only to glad to help out,I feel I must mention Ray Knight from Unikon who gave us advice over the phone on a Sunday afternoon when we were assigning members rings, also to Mark Palmer of Bricon who as helped me out with their system. When it comes down to the actual clocking of the birds i dont really think there is much differance in the 2 systems,it,s just little things which are better on the one system than the other.I.E.the one prints the colour of the bird the other doesn,t.even though you have put the colours in to start with.the one will print wether it,s a cock or hen,the other only prints that it,s a hen and leave,s it blank for a cock, one prints a space for pools the other doesn,t.They are only little things I know but some feds might require these things in their rules on the race sheet.

Just wondering if anyone used E.T.S.last saturday for the first time, what were your thoughts about the system and did you have any problems at all.We had 5 members in our club use it and everyone seemed to be pleased with it,we had a few problems but i think these will be sorted as the season progresses.(I hope)
-
Hi Paul, can you help me out with this one,WHU.2006.C.00653.Cheers.
-
I to love to see the birds come home but with my work there may be times when i cant be there so for me the ETS is just great, used it for the first time on Saturday and i,m sure it will benefit the young birds by not having to catch them and take the rubber off.
-
Cant go far wrong with that one Ed,bought one new in the late 60s and still works perfect. There will be loads of spare clocks going for a song over here with the introduction of ETS.
-
The two birds on 44 secs.should have the same velocity.tell your sec.he is wrong to do it the way he as.
