  2. How big is the big room as you call it,would it not be possible to make the big room into two smaller ones as personally i would rather have the young birds in a room on there own.
  3. Just wondering what your criteria is for quality stock, just because someone as spent thousands of pounds on their stock there is still no guarentee that they will breed winners, likewise just because they might be sons or daughters of some top racer or off some pigeon with as they say a pedigree as long as your arm there is still no guarentee they will breed winners. It as been said many times on here before that usually your best birds are ones that are gifted to you.To me a quality Racer is one that as won mutiple firsts,a quality breeder is one that as bred multiple winners, not how much they cost or whats on the pedigree.
  4. As any one managed to get on the site, cant seem to this end.
  5. Hows the racing gone this year Snowy and Westy, dont seem to see you on here much now.
  6. I would think he as the Champ + the pocket clock. So you believe he could mark his birds at one club with the base station and his other birds at the other club with his pocket clock then when he dropped the pocket clock into the base station the base would record birds from one club and the pocket clock the birds from the other.
  7. Cheers Bruno that explains it exactly.
  8. When the system clocks your bird it does not know wether you will be loading the data manually into a race programme or not so how can it know wether or not to round up or down, when you take a print off of the clocking times it still doesn,t know and as I said before it only prints off the hour minute and seconds no 1000ths.
  9. The size of the hole or holes is determined by what size pad you have.
  10. Bruno,I can,t really understand your last sentence, you say there is no such thing as a dead heat, the fancier who was 2ND and 3RD yesterday in our club race clocked these two birds on the same time 10.45.09 resulting in the two birds having exacly the same velocity 1422.757.Not certain what you say about the ETS using 1000th of a second as the clocking times are allways as above I.E. hour, minutes seconds no 1000ths,if this had been 2 differant fanciers surely it would have resulted in a dead heat.
  11. The fancier who had the first three in our club yesterday had his 2nd and 3rd bird both on the same time, when the result was published his birds were down in 2nd and 3rd place on the list, this was due i think to the way I put these birds into the race result programme,so when i come to write out the prize cards i will just copy them off the result list as they are shown allthough they have the same velocity.
  12. Cant see any point in flying open door and using ETS at the same time as you say he still as to catch the bird and swipe it over the pad so he might just as well take a rubber off the bird and clock it the old way.I will be changing my old birds next year from open door to a trap.
  13. Sorry ben but rules are rules wether we like them or not.If they bring out new rules to cover ETS then we will have to abide by them,as far as I can see no one is breaking any of the rules covering ETS at the moment.
  14. The best posting i,ve seen in a long time,i just wish the people who are against ETS would realise this.
  15. Think thats a question for the RPRA council,I have known many who lost club and fed positions by putting 2 rubbers in one thimble.
  16. Can you give me any more on that one Bart.Does that mean no he cant or no you dont know the answear.
  17. I Think i am right in saying that the whole of his club use the ETS system, and how did they get it,Brian Long payed for all the members to have it.As you quite rightly say Rose he as been putting up performances like that for many years before ETS came in.It just goes to show how good a fancier really is when his birds can be given the correct timings they deserve.
  18. Anyone know the answear to this one,Is it possible to use your base station to clock birds in from one club and at the same time use your pocket clock to clock in birds from another club.this as arisen because we have a member who is in two clubs that basket at the same time,he was wondering if he could take his base station to the one club and his pocket clock to the other.
  19. Is there a site showing early times Aarden.
  20. Today is the final race for the 296 birds left in the RPRA 1 Loft from Sennen Cove was just wondering if any members have birds in the final. There as been no liberation at the moment as the weather at Sennen Cove is not brilliant the next update on libline will be around 10.00.
  21. If anyone should be apollogising Paul it should be Ben,there was no need at all for the disgusting way he spoke about the Welsh people or the way he spoke about fanciers and strays, how about it Ben show that you can be grown up and APPOLOGISE.
  22. Severn Valley Fed at Kingsdown, also racing from Guernsey with the CSCFC,
  23. I sometimes wonder wether or not some fanciers realy wont them reported, some of the people you speak to when you do report them and the crap they come out with makes you wonder wether it.s worth it.Personally I allways try and get mine back one way or another infact i,ve travelled 100,s of miles to pick them up,and at £30 a time with Amtrax it probably works out cheaper.
  24. VIC,I am pretty sure you will have to have your clock set at a reconised NFC clock station, ring around the nearest to you in the handbook or failing that ring the secretary and ask him, there must be a clock station somewhere up that way close to you surely.
  25. I purchased some of these from a stall at the BLACKPOOL show 2 years ago not sure if they were there last year as i didn.t go but the stall was suituated right up in the top of the Winter Gardens and it was run by a Belgium company,i told them what I wanted on the ring and went back some time later to pick them up,they cost £17 for a 100.
