A radio signal is sent from Cumbria( I think it is now was allways Rugby)but with the radio controlled clock its still best to keep a check on them every now and again.

With no print out like you get with a mastertimer there is no way of knowing that the ets clock is correct.

Yes mate allways keep a close check on that as well.

In principal I would say yes,only problem is most feds etc. want a print off so there is a record of what time the clocks were struck.I often set our Master timer by the radio clock,saves money ringing Tim.

Ive seen many races lost by people timing two rubbers in the same thimble,on a very fast race i would,nt even bother trying to get two rubbers in the same thimble the time lost trying to catch the second bird could lose you the race.

[ Pigeon-man, the fact that your 2 best breeders were strays and selected on eyesign is nothing to prove your fact for selection through eyesign, as you must have chossen all your breeders on eyesign, and to say 2 strays turned out your best breeders says alot for your eyesign selection with regards to the rest of your breeders !! your selection process therefore has fault possibly. Your right Timbarra I have selected my breeders on eyesign and all have bred winners,I was just stating a fact about the best breeders I have I,m sure everyone as some breeders that are better than others,the fact that the best 2 were strays and that I chose to keep them by what I could see in the eyes tells me that you are wrong in your statement that you cannot tell a good bird by looking at it,s eye,those are facts not theory,s.I,ll ask again what facts can you give that you cannot tell a good pigeon by looking at it,s eyes,the title of your thread is FACTS NOT THEORY.

Timbarra,Could you please tell me by what facts you are basing your statements on when you say, That eyesign cannot determine a good or bad pigeon,also that you cannot tell a good pigeon by looking in the eye.The facts that i would present to you are that my 3 best stock pigeons were chosen by their eyes only and have been breeding winners or card winners for a few years now,probabley the biggest fact is that 2 of them were strays and the other was picked out of 70 or 80 birds with no details about it.The only thing I used was eyesign.

Perhaps some of our Scottish fanciers can answear that one as I believe their union is the only one that as the rule about sealing the pads in the loft.

If you have seen a UNIKON pocket clock can you explain how you are going to seal that,also the RPRA have decided that there is no need for any thing to be sealed,the SHU I believe have a rule that says the pads must be sealed in the loft.It is the club officials responsability to check if fanciers are positioning the pads outside of the loft if they dont pull these fanciers up then they to are breaking the rules.

Personally I would vacinate whilst they are sitting but cant remember reading anywhere that you cant vaccinate at anytime,except in the middle of racing.

Up until this meeting the ruling did not effect the Unikon system you could have as many pads as you wanted because they said by joining them together counted as 1 so the 3 pad ruling didn,t apply to Unikon.

Your right Tony the vote did go against it last year,not sure if it was council or the emergency rules committee that overturned it but I know it was on the advise of the RPRA,S solicitors that they did.

Wether you think it was bought in undemocratically or not is neither here or there ,the elected council of the RPRA decided that it was in the best interests of the RPRA that they voted it in at the time,I believe it was the RPRA,S own solicitors that advised them to.You say for some this was the final straw so they have quit,to me quitting because a new clocking system is introduced is a very poor excuse.Do you really think that the racing studs as you put it are going to be enhanced because of ets,if it was that easy every one would by one.

JACK,In the eyes of numbers 3 and 4 I would say that the pupils are far to big in comparison to the rest of the eye,do you take any notice of the size of the pupil,also talking about colours years ago the violet and green eyes were the ones that everyone seemed to say were the ones to have but isn,t the actual make up of the eye more important than the colour.

Heard that there was a problem with that one,was giving the wrong velocities thats why we have this latest holdup.
