  1. It's a bit rich to suggest the RPRA have voted plum against ETS. The members of my club didn't get a chance to vote. I'd like to know which comes home last, after all they cost as much to feed as those that are home first. BRING BACK THE GROAT
  2. Cancker is the danger, and use the basket as often as the sun shines
  3. Seeeeeeeee once the snow cleared our set up at rugby aint so bad

  6. Out of choice I'd go fo south east . but look at what mike says. does his choice contradict his experience. maybe
  7. To me I guess it's more a case of do you have the time to look after them well eneough. Not just a case of are they healthy. Would you spot a potential 500 mile winner, or do you have the money to be able to send 'em all
  8. I have two young cocks £25 each sire 21sec 280 NFC tarbes 634mls dam bred 2nd sec 20 MNFC portland. super young cocks. Bred to get extra hens, can't cull em. You can't have the hens I need em. Both parents in the national results over 500 mls.

  10. sounds right to me I'd swear by em but cats are very clever and persistant and you'd need a lot of cat scarers to cover every little corner

    RPRA

You are so right Pompey Mick. This is all about money, like your 15 times more likely to win the lottery than catch bird flu. This virus has killed about 60 people, no cases of human to human infection. Then when it comes here it's gonna kill millions. Yea right, why? don't it like the British. I'm no doctor but my maths is pretty good. The problem is we are not gonna be able to raise a candle to the power of the press, or the gread of the pharmacuticle industry. The RPRA are doing the best they can. Then what?
  13. Don't see why we shoudn't get some racing. It could be however that we don't get to go over the channel for maybee a few years just hope for the best and plan for the worst. Who knows.
  14. sounds good mick but be careful the first one I had didn't work and they all cast "shadows"
  15. I dont know of anything you cant get from everythingforpets, but then the web address doesn't tell you it's Body and Ridewood
  16. I start at 15mls for about 6/8 chucks about 10 days before the first race. IN GOOD WEATHER. Then straight to first race about 85mls and then they go wherever my truck goes north east south or west, trying to give 'em an hours fly. They don't want to be doing any of this circling malarky I tell you. My son has to go to school so they gotta be back before he goes
  17. www.everythingforpets.com That's where I get all my needs. Well nearly
  18. Best strain? Those that score for you at the distance you do best at. The origins of my loft reads like a phone book. But who cares. Not me. Mine are well tried and tested, that's all that matters.
  19. Yea fairly sure mine are dazer too. Bought the first about six years ago, then last year found a cat coming from behind it, so I bought another at Doncaster last year. not seen a cat in the garden since.
  20. We were told Sunday if you liberate birds from more than one loft together then you need a licence as it's classed as a training-race. Quoted from said book. Nice new rule.
  21. I have two and they're great. Why two? So they can face different directions.
  22. 12 pairs would suit me I keep 18 pairs and it's too many. How much time and money is the real Question. People will offer you young. I could give you some. I would recomend Masserella or Natural breeding station. Biggest thing, TRY to get em all the same age and from the same place.
  23. upside down doesn't matter which leg. I use left leg
  24. Here in warwickshire our local club are stuck in no mans land have flown with a variety of feds. Local opinion is if we turn our birds north keep training the same way as they've gone previously. My birds go where ever my truck goes north east south or west. Mike Young from Timsbury told me his birds were trained, an hours fly into the wind. Last year we had too many young birds to go with MNFC so I sent them 60 mls split in two groups all went up single up coming home from different directions. Result got the lot. Cost a fortune with MNFC. Good distance birds can do it.
  25. Now I know why I have no hair left must clean out more often
