I'd agree with Tammy. Unless of course you have his parents and more like him.

May-be people are trying to tell you something. LOL

I too would go for calcium. I would look at oystershell grit though

Don't be confused, we each have our own ideas, and before long the birds at the bottom of your garden, will fit that discription, but thats all.

Nice little black Krauth hen in my pen. On the result at Bergerac, and bred 2nd sec MNFC too. Wish I had more like her.

Hey Samantha, let me guess you got those birds from Liverpool
-
Dunno what you can do mate, but our club sec and me went to Walsall football stadium earlier in the year. He bought a pair of whites, and I bought one. Saturday just, he tells me, the hen is now living down the street, with the townies. Less than half a mile away

L C if you lib in the morning them birds could be a long way from home before nightfall. If you have a bad chuck in the evening, you may just get 'em next morning. MAY BE..........Many roads lead to Rome. That's just my oppinion.

Hi Rose. I've never been to Blackpool, so I can't tell you what is different. What I do know is my friends company were called in, and changed the whole design. I believe Geraldy were also looked at. However I believe they were thought to be not as good as those that are fabricated locally. He has been in BHW write up for the NFC. A fed from I believe Shefield had a super transporter in the BHW. To me it looked state of art. The one I refer to had half gull wings and the bottom half doubled as a loading platform with a safety rail round it . This I am told was just another £4000. Looks to me that the NFC made a poor choice in not having this. What I would say is if anyone is looking for this sort of kit. Don't be short sighted look long and hard. The crates we had fitted to our transporter about 5 years ago are at least as good as Geraldy. I think it would be safe to say Warwickshire fed have never had racing so good.

My friend has been much involved with the new NFC transporter. What you after, he has been busy supplying much of the kit for a lot of the major clubs / feds

Got to agree T_T if they don't roam forget 'em

Many roads lead to roam, as stated before. If you want 'em to sprint stick to the line of flight. You will need to find a method to suit yourself. I kind of think the last post implies, that is the best way. I am lucky as I get free training, but it works. We breed a month later than most. Have few losses. Have more than eneough left at the end of the season. Fly the longest races we can get 'em into. As yearlings they go 350mls. At two 500/600mls. Older birds we've turned from Pau to Perth. I gotta tell ya I've never found better than training 10/12mls then into racing. Don't let anyone, tell you they have the best method, cos if they did we could all pack up now.

young birds how far
peterpau replied to lordcornwallis's topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
If I could they'd go 300mls, but longest young bird to me would be about 240mls. All my youngsters are natural, but then I do breed later than most -
Paul just a small problem I know. I've had birds 25years, so when you find out can you tell me. LOL

My son is 13, last year he was 2nd sec 20th MNFC. He has had his own birds for four years. Last year he was clock setting. This year he helps me on the feeder transporter. Aint been sec yet but he's done everything else. My club and my performances have greatly benefitted from his work. Our club waived membership fees but he does pay union and MNFC fees. Hmm maybe I should say I get that privelidge. He does like his coloured birds, but he won the longest young bird race with a grizzle. His MNFC bird is a barless mealy.

Hey jimmy my ivermectin costs me £6 Can't tell ya where from though

loft flying on rainy days
peterpau replied to mobster's topic in Novices, Beginners & Young Fanciers
I let mine out at every oppotunity. It has to be very thick fog, for me to keep 'em in. Like Hyacinth says, if they're gonna meet it racing? -
Hope the barley works but YOUNG birds want to roam sexualy mature cocks might just have different ideas. Can't help but think, I wouldn't want to chase all over town, with a gorgeous young hen at home. Tiz only an idea

Many roads lead to Roam but. We aint got 'em near the basket yet, and wont do until 2 weeks before racing. Ten miles first toss on the line of flight, with the sun in the sky, then everyday at the same point, till first race then straight in to racing. I train when I finnish work 5pm ish. Once they've been racing then they go wherever my cement lorry goes. I feed twice a day ALWAYS. When they go in the evening they get there second feed, when they get home. Once they come with me to work in the morning my son feeds 'em in before he goes to school. Idealy I try to get 'em 40 /50 mls on the line of flight. You MUST give 'em a rest if they start to look tired. I like to give 'em a hard chuck then rest the next day.

Can't help but think, birds that fly well must be healthy. I wonder if you could split the different age groups. I only breed one round, and they are all the same age. So they run well. However we did breed a couple of rounds, about five years ago. Kept in different sections they ran well too, but they woudn't till we split 'em

Hope you get a good un. You don't need a licence for Belgium to Wales do ya?
-
100% returns + a G+T sounds like it turned out OK in the end. LOL Bet you're still a bit hacked off though

Rule 1.1 To promote and encourage distance racing and for that purpose to organise races for the membership of the club. Forgive me if I am wrong RPRA distance race is 451mls. Seems fairly plain to me. No attempt to fulfil this criteria, for a very large number of the members. Maybee the members that sent to the south coast and were apparently ballotted were more sprint minded
