  1. Only means they are the dominant bird nothing else.
  2. Not just you boys on the south coast this will affect. We have a BICC membership form waiting to be sent, and their race program is every other week over the channel. So this will mean no club racing for us. To me that's a real pain in the *expletive removed* no training program.
  3. That'll be one of ours then. We took 5 blacks 5 barless mealys 2 grizzles and a red. The Blacks's a Krauth hen been paired to a red Buscheart cock both been on the National result at 500miles and this is where all the barless come from aswell. Hope it doesn't let me down. Wouldn't want someone to think they had bought rubbish from me. Never sold pigeons before and only sold them 'cos we plan to move.
  4. Always use Ivermectin but the vet don't like to use it anymore because the birds of prey get a build up in there system. Shame. Use it every six weeks in racing season but use different stuff in the winter.
  5. "Droppings perfect and seem to be doing fantastic" So why do you want to change things. If it aint broke don't fix it.
  6. Didn't complain myself just didn't pay the full price for the stand and the Welsh boy next to me was going to do the same. Gangster did your mate by one of our blacks? The only good thing is I wasn't stood next to the welsh boy when the rugger was on. We were in the millenium stadium last time to see England lose . Good day out though for me and me boys. As for standing outside I recon it would have been warmer.
  7. Sounds about right to me
  8. You will need an operaters licence. Not for proffit organisation will probably get away with own accont but you'd be better of finding someone with a CPC
  9. Good to get your point of view. Everything was bred from birds that have been in the National result at 500 600 miles though. I did think they didn't look happy sat in the cold.
  10. " Stand on the front of a cross channel ferry at the end of may and see what you're expecting your birds to do. " Mike Young. Top BICC distance flyer. No training for us till April then straight to 15 miles for maybe 6 chucks before the first race. 10 miles would be eneough for sprinters.
  11. Think four days is the most I'd go to. Although sooner go two days to many than four under
  12. Well we managed to sell most of our youngsters and were happy to come away with just the two youngest. However we too were very dissapointed. The sale birds were crammed in the one end almost as if they weren't wanted.
  13. Milton for canker and cider vinegar for e-coli
  14. Well your birds will always be exposed to the most unhealthy birds in the basket. Is it me or am I the only one to admit that I treat cocci kanker and worms on a monthly bassis. If I bring birds in I treat kanker and worms immediately and before my birds go elsewhere I treat before they leave. No such thing as a common cold No such thing as common kanker either
  15. Hope to see you there mate my little boy is also six foot but not yet 15 Tiz not in the same halls as last year, so it should be better
  16. The whites were from M Inger and son my friend and I had three between us but none made it to the end of the season
  17. No whites just barless mealy's blacks grizzles etc
  18. Third weekend of April for us Bath 85mls Soon enough and far enough.
  19. I won't train till the temperature reaches double figures, or before April.
  20. certainly would be my first thought too. Make sure you have sea shell grit Liverine of Grimsby for me.
  21. Like to think you can too mate. Hope to be able to help.
  22. Bugger me far too early for me but then we normally miss at least the first race
