I give 1 table spoon per drinker 5 days aweek. On saturday and sunday I give 2.5 mill of milton per drinker. Milton is good eneough to clean a baby bottle without rinsing so tiz ok for the birds. I take cider vinegar and honey every morning. Tiz good eneough for me. Slugmonkey and Bruno seem to be dead on. Ours too will go 600 mile next week.

Have to agree we went with BICC and it was certainly a tough race we had 2 on the day but ended with 60% returns. For me I don't see that as bad. Tough would be how I'd describe it. If you don't want to take the risk don't send. The convoyers have tough decisions to make and will get a tough one sometimes. Have you never took your own birds down the road and thought, my god I've got it wrong

So let me see. You have half your yearlings left. They have performed well in trying races. Half your remaining birds have been in a close call with Percy. I would be happy with that and hang on to them for next year. My yearlings will go to BICC Tours 356 miles and old hens will go to BICC Pau 624miles the same day. I currently have 22 all told 3 stock hens 10 race hens and 9 cocks. We move house soon. Should we drop one or two fine. Would like to take between 12 and 18 with us. How many do you want to take through the winter. If I were in your shoes I'd call it a day and save them for next year.

I'd be aiming to finnish with about a third of what I'd started with. Some of these will be well worth ther food for winter.
