  2. Have moved house this year so things aint the same, but last year if I got home at 6 I used to stuggle to get my birds out o' the sky before 9 some nights. Bloody book........
  3. TIZ THE BOOK
  4. Sorry Ionela don't know that one.
  5. My birds are ok now. Only had a very mild form, they still looked fine, and weren't holding corn or vomitting.
  6. So Rugby, Southam, and Warwick clubs had a grand total of 3 members sending this week as all the rest had some form of sickness. After two weeks racing. All clubs in our fed, keep there own crates, and do not not use another clubs crates. My own birds were off there food and not flying well midweek. Cider vinegar and honey was used in the water and yogurt on the corn. I spoke to another member on saturday and he had almost identical problem, though worse than mine. Surely this "virus?" must be air born? Any ideas.
  7. The soontjens from John Sheader are wiping the floor, in our local club up to around 300 mile. Then it comes in to my territory. ;)
  8. Tiz dead right. NOTHING IS SET IN STONE. Yes I have been in a top loft with a hell of a lot of birds, but they were tame contented and very healthy. No I am not gonna name the flyer. He has now departed this life, and out of respect I can't say they were overcrowded. There were far too many for me though. The key in this case for me was open hole.
  9. For me the main thing is they have to keep us happy, or we would not keep them, and they don't stay long if they aint happy either. Birds come home cos they love it. Numbers could be irrelivant.

    sat race

Agree totally. However, Warwick fed basket sat race sun. For me I like the youngsters to have a holdover inland, before they go over the water.
  11. Yes kind of agree with above post tiz only kanker and worms I treat for. Less now than I used to mind.
  12. Couple o' latebreds available for you if you are in the midlands.
  13. How bloody stupid ;D ;D ;D Tiz funny though, cos a fancier suggested that last night. I thought it strange as he sent me a pm. However my wife is one pill short tonight. ;)
  14. Thanks all. Some of the reply's made I laugh down the pub last night. My mate says one of the mechanics where he works can get the viagra. Gonna give the vit e supplement another try and trim his feathers.
  15. Thought he might get a stiff neck if it got stuck any way
  16. Hmmmmmmmm now how do I explain to the doctor I need some viagra for my blue pied cock.
  17. Now heard this smartie business the other day. What's that all about.
  18. Bred last year. None for me this year. The seller when questioned said he had him on some fertility treatment last year so he didn't miss any eggs. That sounded the alarm bells.
  19. Don't you take a chance on every pigeon you buy in. I aint being rude but they don't come with any sort of a guarantee.
  20. 2002, not old me thinks. I have a black hen from 2000. and she breeds super youngsters. I hope you agree merlin.
  21. So I paid good money, for the sire of an RPRA award winner, and he turns out to be sterile. Paired him to two different hens, or at least the dam to RPRA pigeon and one other. Both hens bred young with other cocks. Any ideas please.
  22. 17 from 19 for me. Came well but disgraced myself with poor trapping. Not all my fault as we have a dormer roof, and they went on that for a drink. Short of moving again or stopping the rain what can I do.
  23. Why do you use it mate and what are the bennefits do you think and how often.
  24. Never heard of this Rose. Is it something you would use.
  25. Good question. Sneezing is indicative of respiratory infection. If the question were how often do pigeons sneeze. Again difficult to answer. Regular sneezing means you have a problem. So how often do they sneeze ?????????????????????????? Just keep it in mind.
