i think the s.n.f.c do need a more modern transporter.i was speaking to the conveyor at musselburgh .he was explaining how on hot days waiting to liberate birds he pulls evry 2nd basket out so far to let what air their is gets better circulation round the transporter. then their drinker is put on the rear end of the basket i think 1 drinker per basket (might be wrong) then hand filled. don,t get me wrong the conveyors do a brilliant job with the amenities they have .this is how the best distance birds in Scotland are transported. now look at some of the transporters that are used in England self leveling so as water is on 3 sides of basket even through transport. then their is the air conditioning that thees motors have it is excellent. so i think with the money that is generated through the s.n.f.c. season plus what is in the bank is asking for a new more modern transporter to much to ask to make life a wee bit better for our best pigeons.

Condolences to the family at this sad time

cheers ian just thought it would be a good idea to let one of them race for pigeon basics fund.also had 1 or 2 members asking if i was going to do a run down of the race the same as last year.it just ads a wee bit more interest for some. i think the reson that no one has won the xmus race 2 years running .is this race is very competitive and very unpredictable. i can,t give enough credit to the club and its members who run this race very professionally run. (it would be grate if all our racing was run in this way) also the names misty lady and misty lad come from clockman as he named them last year after the race

misty lady b/ch misty lad bb

as a lot of members know i look forward to the xmus race run by dander hall racing pigeon club members of the pentland hills federation.last year being a brilliant year for me being 1st 2nd and 13th at it.my 1st bird was a b/ch hen in her 1st race and very close behind my bb cock clocked on sam min.the 1st bird won £500 1st prize the 2nd won £200 2nd prize.(their are more cash prizes down to 20th) i have 2 yb,s bred from my 1st 2 birds with this race in mind for them 2 bb i am going to put pictures up of both in 2 or 3 weeks when birds are through moult.which ever gets the most votes from members that bird will be trained and entered in to this years xmus race.(with the other one being in reserve ) if the bird is good enough to win any prize money at this year xmus race all will be donated to the pigeon basics fund. so one of these birds will be racing to help the pigeon basics fund.

well geo the feet theory is the easiest for example send 10 birds to a 200 mile race .the 1st feet on the landing board is your best 200 mile pigeon.feet theory is the best

i don,t think their will be a problem selling any of the yb,s that go for sale. when you think of it each of the yb,s that go to the sale wil have flown their program ,been the best yb that their original owner could bred for this race .proberly from their best pair or at least a very good proven pair for as little as £10 or £20 a few bargains to be had i think.
-
the members that put yb,s on darkness how did you darkness yb,s race in the last 2 longest races .hope some of you answer thanks
-
natural for my yb,s 1st round will get stopped with moult 2nd round should go to all yb, races . them that come thru yb season and go on to race the following year soon out shine darkness yearlings.natural yb,s also don,t need stopped the following year to recover and get themselves in order. the darkness system takes to much for me out of yb,s .when they are young and growing and need all the help they can get. yb,s for 1 year ob,s for a lot longer. . The Future of Sport Committee will make a decision on route at their meeting at the end of October. so when route desided then the application forms should be able to down loaded

how is this up thought the race was weeks ago

will add Steven aitchison does a brilliant job looking after our strays. i have had 2 via Stevens this year in good condition and very well basket trained.as steven keeps them in his own race baskets .looks after them well at a cost to himself of feed and time. i know steven has late breeds to train so it would be good to free his baskets up so as he can train them.so if any members recognize any of the numbers either as in their club or fed could they PLEASE pass on that birds are down their.
