make sure birds have plenty grit.

will have to disagree with danny on this. 1 some of john bosworths yearlings will be on national results as 2 year olds i would bet my bottom dollar on that. 2 as for 2 and 3 year olds not making nat result i also think is wrong as i will prove next year.i don,t need till next year my 1st bird home eastbourne a 2 year old.i agree about buying a good stock pair from a fancier that has proved time and again his birds are good enough to score at the top of nationals . or go to the S.N.F.C. SALE AT NEW MAINS ON SUNDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER.

old Scottish saying every dog has it,s day . as for the fanciers that did not get a bird yes it must be gutting for them. years of looking after the birds to not get one home. birds are lost but even now their will be some still trying their best to get back home and bet your bottom dollar some of them make it

my opinion on this is that the birds that done the race in good time .are birds that regarless of fog or rain or thunder faced it and flew through it. (if their was fog or rain ect) i have seen my own birds in shorter races come through mist fog and rain and some of them comming home hours later or the next day. then me saying the bird i clocked coming through the fog mist and rain could not beat my last bird home at any race on a nice day. i have read at some of the oneloft reports that 1100 bird let go at say 8 am with in a min 2 to 4 bops atacked in to them. the bops kept it up for a long time but a small batch managed to get away. 60 home on day in good time 1040 not home on day but more than half started dropping in over the next 2to 4 days. we can al put our best guess forward but we won,t know for FACT WHAT HAPPEND

keep the 2 inlands and yb nat best avarages for the 3 say a silver sheild or something like that. the 3 of them bring in good money to help out in the longer races if birdage is down. it also brings in fanciers that fly mostly sprint middle distance birds. then the races from over the water race for avrages in all the channal races say a gold sheild. doing something like this helps keep the races that bring in the most money and helps a wider range of fanciers to race their birds in the S.N.F.C. i know it has been said that the S.N.F.C.was set up to race long distances and it might have been (as i don,t know full history) with their not being as meny fanciers as years ago i think it needs to move with the times. to me the S.N.F.C. means i get to race my by birds against fanciers from all over the scottish nation.

i think it would help us all understand a wee bit more on how birds cross channel .do the east coast birds fly more east to cross . do the west birds cross more to the west over a wider strech of water .also which part do the far north birds cross.
-
when their is a gold cup channal race for example .with the new tracking system that tracks birds as they fly .like the video on utube a lot of us have seen with the tenirife birds getting tracked from start to finnish.showing us the route the birds fly. yes it does cost money for this but split between all members of the s.n.f.c it would not be much.then for example 2 birds from each of the secsions to have one fixed to it with the fanciers say so. the fanciers picked would be say the 1st 2 fanciers from that race point the year before. with tracking like this it would give us all a bit more in put it whare the birds cross channel. done a few time it should also help in finding a gold cup race point that suits all. it might also show what i think that most birds cross at the shortest rote from land to land. only an idea
-
i have to disagree with you on this as i think ypres is a good race point for fanciers like myself that fly round about the 400ish mile mark and are new to national racing .it gives us a chance to try our birds from a channal race .it give then the experanse of flying over channel
-
not a 100% on this but i think it won,t count as race closes at 400y.pm. sorry to hear just out of race time also can you tell who is on phone to hurry up as trying to phone

a pedigree is only as good as the person that wrights it.jo bloggs that is only out to make money from fanciers will soon be caught out. example well bred yb for sale pure bussharte bred from winners right through pedigree . sire abc 99 12345 bb cock 1st club 1st fed midlothian race back sands 2001 distance 300 mile.now hear is one bird on pedigree .you look at it and think is this right or not.you the find out the midlothian fed sec phone number and phone.then ask very nicely .hello my name is mick i am thinking about buying a yb from mr jo bloggs he says on ped his bird was 1st club 1st fed from your race from back sand in 2001 could you please tell me if this it true .i would add if it was my fed you phone to add i know you work very hard and DON,T GET THE CREDIT YOU SHOULD.BUT IT WOULD BE A GRATE HELP IF YOU COULD PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS. KNOWING OR SEC Rhona see would proberly say( fffukkk of not to do wi me ) NO SHE WOULD NOT Rhone would say i am BUSY just now as she does a lot of work for our fed but give me a phone number and i will get back to you. if it was true she would phone and tell you.if it was untrue she would phone and tell you the let a good few members in our fed know that he is selling birds and putting lies on pedigrees.not sure on this he might even be in trouble for bring his fed in to disripute also his club. i sometimes sell birds and hear is the 3 pedigrees that cover all mine any of the members that have got birds from me gifts or bought will voch for mine

I timed him from last 2 inland nats bid improvement from one to the other . their is not much more for him to be 100% fit. he has not missed a meal if he did it would be double on return.all my birds fly FREE each day no birds are kept in that would cause stress
