i gave birds away in 2005 to a guy i know i had not spent a lot of money at all building my team up to produce these birds .he took them and said thanks he also said he was getting birds from jo bloggs he told me jo had spent thousands of£s buy these birds in . i told him to keep birds separate .just to see which is better . over 2 years later i got some of mine back of their own accord.when i asked which was the better he said mine. alot of my birds now and back then where from friends as gift birds.that is what made them that bit better .as i and no doubt you would not give crap birds to a mate.it also shows you dont need to spend lots of cash buying birds in.

natural birds thats all i do .dont like the widowhood system waste of hens.

When would you pair up your distance birds

as i am going to be new to distance racing. i have heard one or two theories on breeding some say distance bird to distance bird.have also heard distance bird to good middle distance bird to add a bit more speed at the distance. any positive in put apreshated

i only went to one as not a member yet slinky .and full credit to delboy 6 out of 7 .i also know it is a different ball game for you guy,s in the west.

i scored in all the old Bird nationals i sent birds to. i hope you get 7 out of 7 next year

well that has helped me make my mind up .nothing against jeremy as the old say goes you can keep all of the people happy some of the time but you can,t keep all of the people happy all of the time.

we send what we think is our best to be brought back to 175 mile with a very strong tail wind.they should have sent them the other way and made them work and work hard to get home. this is only my opinion.i was lucky enough to miss the 300 fly away. i am :-/ for next year
