    Peregrines

Peregrine falcons prey almost exclusively on birds (doves, pigeons, shorebirds, waterfowl, passerines, etc), although they will also eat small "reptiles" (such as lizards) and mammals. Although the peregrine captures its prey with its claws, it generally kills its prey with its beak

    Peregrines

The peregrine falcon eats a variety of animals. It eats mostly birds, but will eat bats and rodents. The peregrine's favorite food are pigeons and ducks. Peregrines hunt by mostly chasing their prey in the air. Animals being chased by a peregrine falcon have a 66% chance of escaping. The peregrines chase and swoop down at their prey at over 200 miles an hour, they squash their prey with their massive talons or stun it by colliding in midair. The falcon then quickly kills the prey by biting it's throat. Young falcons who are just learning to hunt may chase and eat dragonflies and other large insects.

    what treatment

the reson for treatment in racing season is the birds are more likely to pick something up in the basket as most transporters have a communal drinkers. we also put our birds under a lot of strain .with training and racing .making them more submittable to diseases . it only takes one or two to drink with ie canker it is then in the water all birds in that row now have a chance of catching it from the water.you get one home that has picked it up the he or she goes for a drink in loft it is now in your drinker for all birds to pick up.having just come through a racing season during the course of which they were regularly treated for coccidiosis and crop canker these treatments stop.we allow our birds to generate a subclinical level of infection of these diseases to stimulate their immune responses.
  11. if you are getting dogs don,t see the point of anything else. i have 2 dogs 3 cats trained not to go for birds.the dogs will savage any other cat they can get to. so keeps mice rats and cats away.
  12. BOTH
  13. well between me you and the gate post if willy or young john pryde says THANKS again to me and tells me to let all of you know how GRATEFUL and THANKFUL they BOTH are. i will be taking my ball back cause i an,t playing .plus the dummy will be spat out.joking a side both are in i would say disbelief at what we have done for them. willy pryde tells me all the time i have spoken to him since.even when i have said you have said THANKS more than enough times.then i started to leave .he then shouted me back and said .i will leave you all to guess what he said
  14. yes it was started deliberately.their is now a man in jail for it on remand
  15. this is the devastation photos .with a lot of hard work and the financial help from the pigeon basics members plus others. with donations of birds and cash the father and son partnership will in the near future have lofts back up which is a start. for them to get back to the high standard of birds that they raced will take much longer.to build a winning team of birds like they had will take a while.at least with the help of their fellow fanciers in their club no in their fed no in their country of GREAT BRITAIN YES
  16. just in case you are wondering he only wanted my address to send a donation to help out w pryde and son.

    Peregrines

when a golden eagle attacks a red deer it means to frighten it in to a panic .so it runs for its life in the hope of it injuring it,s self ,injury to any deer in the highlands of Scotland in winter is normally fatal . their for easy pickings for the golden eagle.it is not uncommon for a golden eagle to try it,s luck at young deer.they have also been known to just pick up a fox and fly off with it.
