i agree mate i have nest felts then tabacco stalks then i put some straw down then shaving on top, it really defeats the idea of the nest felt but thats what i done for years

with nest felts if a bird doesnt build a good nest you will have plenty of cushion for the ybs when they hatch

the question you should ask is how many would be a good number to have working with in there always feel when people say filling it is not a good thing, to answer your question no more than 35-40 40 would be a max at the start but for racing 30-35

to be honest only saw 1 bird that took my eye i held it and first thing i noticed was the bird was full of lice, so not for me, my mate looked at a bird that did stand out on another stand and was £250 and it had bloody flights wasnt worth that sort of money they were asking

hi mate will there be a list of whos birds are for sale before hand as i am going away on 5th/6th would i be able to bid before or bid in advanced

start with 60 rings 30 for racing 3 for breeder buyers in clubs 6 for bb or yb swaps on computer then sell 2nd round off stock and that should be it

i know a few clubs mate i personally think its good for a club to share the results around but i think you can still clock as many as you like for the fed result no club rule can stop you clocking in birds in for fed result
