Had one this year both legs broken and badly smashed up around keel put in a basket will plenty shavings as said before fresh food and water in basket beside it 2 weeks later he was back in loft another week and he was out flying with the rest They are a lot tougher than you think this bird was hurt from a toss and landed on my neighbours roof wings spread out I thought he was dead sea gulls and magpies were having a go at him the magpie was pulling him by the wing down the roof he spent the night out on the roof but in the morning he was spread out on the landing board were I caught him I thought it would be better to cull him for his sake but wife would not let me and he is now back to normal and you would not know he was hurt
