  1. They say you learn more from a loss than a win so we've had 10 years of learning against england but it's finally paid off. Thought the sportsmanship was great no moaning about decisions against them they admitted they got beat by the better team on the day. Thought the referee had a brilliant game also. Definitely one of the best in the business. Can't wait for Ireland Scotland noo!
  2. Hi Matthew. Yes this is also your clubs race programme the same as the rest of the North of Scotland federation. Sedgefield is a new one and looking forward to it the same as Dunfermline. We used to race Battle and before that Hastings but not the last couple of years, but great to have a 500mile race back in the programme. That will test yer doos oot

  4. Yous are in the best place possible. I had a stay in there with my son for a couple week leading up to Xmas. He needed a new shunt. Whole experience was overwhelming with various charities involved to make the stay easier from the children's hospital charity to the Ronald Mcdonald house charity which gave me and my daughter a bed for a fortnight. Also others who came round the wards to entertain the kids and take everyone's mind of things. Hopefully raise some cash for them in the near future. I've bought in some new stock doos lately. Your welcome to some out the second round just send me rings.
  5. The reason some won't deliver to certain areas is if there is already a stockist there. I found this out while at Blackpool last year and went round a few feed stands to see if anyone was willing to sell us some pallets through the year. When I approached marriages and bucktons they said they wouldn't sell me as they supplied a country store which is 30miles from me. Shot them self's in the foot! There mentally must be they think you will go and travel to buy there food from stockist when in fact you just get someone else
  6. you were right about the food Alan. Got a couple palletts up last week and the lads that ordered were very happy with the quality and price. Less than £9 for a 22kg bag of super breeder. Can't go wrong.
  7. aye Chris sounds a fair deal to me. Is this van OK for you?
  8. I've sneaked on as daughter is away to karate. No probs about the basket. least I could do after you offerd me birds after reading my post about wanting to try and get a doo fae France. Cheers
  9. £5 bet with Boyle sports for the treble would return £16.77
  10. Been reading pigeon racing advanced techniques by Jan aerts old book but good read. Also enjoyed reading roads to rome by Cameron stansfield and the Alf Baker book, think it was called winning my way or winning natural or something like that. Borrowed it from library hard to get hold of seen them selling on ebay for £70-£100 before.
  11. Thanks goggs. Received my new doos earlier and very excited about getting them paired up and getting some youngsters out them. I'm over the moon we my new Jan aardens. These doos were picked up from goggs beside Edinburgh at 12 and delivered to me at 6 o'clock in Banff by walkers transport. Great service and would highly recommend them. Most couriers won't come this far north so for £65 for upto 15 doos it's a bargain
  12. Whenever we've ordered a pallet of food for the club it's been 40bags. Usually Ss seeds or Bamfords is the cheapest.
  13. I sorted out our club rings on Friday night and never noticed anything wrong with them. A thought they were the easiest to read we have ever had.
  14. 2 great goals. A had a fiver on westham at 10-1 pity they never held on
  15. Aye should be good. Not a Phil Taylor fan but would be nice to see him go out on a high

Aye Huntly. Spotted him in Asda a couple times. A had a bet on him to get more 180s than gurney the night 5-1 it was. but nae luck. Who's yer money on to win it lads?

He's from up this way. A few years ago he got into the final of the BDO and got the record for most 180s in the final. Can't remember who he lost too tho
  18. I don't know the rules but guessing it's something that would have to be brought up at next year's agm. And voted on then. My father was lucky enough to win the combine from Hastings and still talks about it, definitely the highlight of his racing. Be good to get it back again and sure it could work if race committees sat down together
  19. sorry should of said offer convoy facilities provided there was space on lorry What about the lads further north were they ever in it?
  20. What was the first feds in the grampian combine? It was before my time I often wondered what happened. There will Come a time that we will have to join up again as the membership continues to dwindle. I'm pretty sure at our agm it was decided that as long as there was room on the lorry we would convoy Aberdeen doos for any race point.
  21. OK cheers.I'll empty it
  22. Hi was hoping for a bit of advice. I would love to clock a national Doo from France which is 600+miles up here. Would you guys buy from local lads clocking at the distance? or is there a strain/family of birds anyone would recommend for 600miles Thanks in advance
  23. Well done on winning the race Gogs and also well done Alan Alex and Andy on timing. Who won the avredges? Young/combined?
