  9. listen hear peter p ,this virus has been brout in by commercial breeders for the seasonal needs of the country, the survey was done on feral , aye okay but it prove the pigeon is a gene apart from poultry or fowl and isnt easily accseptible to contract the bird flue therefore we shouldnt be affected by this crap, as for wild birs carrying the flue, well i see no sighns of it up here in the north where there are thousands of woocock and all manner of birds in country and hawks, buzzard etc thriving after herst, this is purely a comercial thing and shouldnt effect pigeon men, but we will all be tarred with the same brush i suppose, i will not confine my doo.s end of./

  13. i was at ripon a few year back with north feds and because of small birdage controller wanted to lib all in, they didnt want to, total madness imo.
  14. i agree but unfortunately too many feds and too many transporters all wanting that window on sat morning makes it a very hard call, also the controllers do a magic job but are slaughtered for it, comes to mind my job on the wagons, your only as good as your last run, everything else is just bye the bye.
  15. nuff said phil, its been taken in by the commercials but theyll blame it on wildfowl migrating and the whole country will be on lockdown but not me, defra can visit me and test the doo,s but will find nowt, mine will fly free and anyone on hear can shout me down but i dinna give a ?, my doo,s will fly open bowl like they allways have and allways will

  17. ill bet these farms are importing bird for xmas demand and this is whats happening, we will be buggered by the rules,ie defra but its nowt to do with doo,s cause theyre nae poultry, end of.

  19. i and my son have boughtdoos from sales that have dropped off perches or have looked well and then have retained seed and went sick so was binned, my doos are open hole and are healthy, i have heard nothing from my fed so i will open bowl tomorrow and let the birds fly free until i am told otherwise, i personally think its a load of monaymaking crap at this time of year, end of.
  20. our birds are all veccinated every year aqainst the pox and everything they arnt wild or are they captive also they arnt poultry, totaly different species,i cant for the life of me see how this affects lads n lassies flyin a doo round the house, it beggars beleaf that jhonny foreiner has a problem and we have to suffer by it.
  21. what is the problem here, what kind of migrating birds do we have up here in the north, my doo,s arnt captive nor are they poultry, the same thing every year at this time, is it to put price up for xmas dinner i wonder? i dont see wild birds dropping oot of sky with disease, my birds are open bowl but i have closed them in poor buggers but i cant see the problem , mebbe the disease only affects confined birds ie poultry???.
  22. dont do that andre, doos love their own droppings and thrive on it, i know national winners whose birds make nests and rear winners on droppings, pigeons love sh** but this isnt what its about, you have lost interest and are giving away, no need for arsholes to critisize yir dookit min, all the best in what you do ma man, davy.
  23. no snow yet in moray but hailstones the day with a bitter north wind, i havnt seperated cause i havnt raced in two year cause ime never there so i have been chucking eggs and thinkin the cold snap will stop them, lo and behold went under a hen cause she.s sitting and theres two hatched, ive open lofts and open bowl, the cold wind is bitter, i rung them so its a bit of a try, wele see, every one else has stopped laying i think? ime trying keeping them together for the distance racing, long life partners and motivation type o thing
