Another one just landed.

Yesterday. I liberated 49 young birds at Lanark Loch ( approx 15 Miles ) this was their 3rd toss from here, 2 hours 20 mins. After lib. 13 landed with another 3 making it nome last night, 3 landed together at 9. 25 this morning and another 3 making it home during the day one of which landed at 5.45 . I don't race young birds just train them but it's getting to the stage you can't even do that !

Colin, I always thought the rule was 1 hour after your first bird not 1 hour after the winners first bird ( nobody know how wins until clocks checked ), everybody is entitled to have their race and see there birds come even if your a 1 hour behind

People talk about getting them home before the weather closes in, they are usually talking about the eta for early birds, the majority of the convoy are not early birds so they have a increased chance of being shut out.

Don't doubt peregrines have a lot to do with losses but I was on holiday last week in the lake district and the jets scudding south through the hills on low flying excercises cant help. Imagine the convoy meeting a couple of these coming from the opposite direction.

Training toss from Crawford yesterday, 2 hawked, 4 y/old returned with half a wing and 2y/old with a chunk missing from between shoulder blades, still one missing.
