  1. im just back from sharm el sheikh 11th january roasting hot and thats the coldest month of year i saw one small cloud all week fantastic place been twice now and going back next year
  2. I thought the thread is about hours of darkness ,so hears my bit ,i,m on west coast. in summer it starts to get light here before 4am and daylight at around 4:30,but all depends on weather conditions and starts to get dark at around 10:30 really dark at 10:45 so that to me seams to between 5 3/4 hrs and 6 hrs which to me seems a fair reflection of hours of darkness. As for early libs the weather these last 3 or 4 years does not let us have true races up early home on night but if we didn,t have the midday libs we wouldn,t have had races at all.Frank dooman i think your wrong as 10:45 and 4:45 is the same time if thats what the closing and opening times are not a minutes difference ,also race controllers have to phone line of flight so that takes time ,drink for birds etc that why they couldn,t lib at 4:30 remember they have to phone peoples houses at these times in morning ,i know i wouldn,t like a phone call before 5:00 am in summer then do the birds then go to work have a thought boys for all who do jobs behind the scene.
  3. albert called him top gun cracking cock he flew most of his life on widowhood ,and yes he won 2 from france in club but were quite fast races 12 hrs in wing i think his breeding was j.charmicheal ecclefechan witha bit of tom .mcewan elphinstone the next snfc president ?
  4. I think you will find the snrpc has a race for yearlings has had for 2 years mate it was my proposal to do this , my thinking was for that reason to get never mind just yearlings ,2 year olds, late breds, some of the inland boys to maybe have a go and get them hooked into channel racing.sorry for mentioning snrpc on snfc thread
  5. the best birds you will get is from friends then you know they will have a proper pedigree. you can only take a seller at face value.
  6. A pedigree for selling .A basket for racing

  16. quite right alf i remember a few years ago a friend of mine thought something wrong ,went to local vet ,i had told him that i thought they looked great and didn,t think anything wrong maybe a little worms ask vet ,anyway the vet checked droppings and when he said is it worms my mate thought it might be ,she said its cocci its that high that worms wouldn,t survive, when he told me i laughed i said pi@h if they that bad the would be lying about dying not clapping off loft etc.So make sure IT,S somebody that knows what their talking about.I always send off test 3 weeks before big race. and treat if needed
