well asha you better get some good scottish birds then 1 in 10,000 go back to sleep youve not had enough
i only breed 30/36 yougsters a year and have had plenty to time in in 15/16 hours on day and you wouldn,t think they flew round the house birds properly prepaired and right are like this mate
i think im one of the lucky ones ,hope im not tempting fate hear, ive never been bothered with sparrowhawks yet my pal 1/4 mile away gets hit all the time,my theory is i always have my german shepperd dog out the back when birds are out so when the sparra comes along it sees the dog and leaves them alone, because if it hits a bird in the garden the dog might get it .my birds are out most days
first bit of sense on the thread ,the only other thing is the colour of the bird seems to change ,just a shade, feathers round neck get tighter, basically look like an oil painting,BINGO.get the dough on.
back to the question if they have survived in a rat hole for a couple of years /although get them tested and keep them away/they will have a great immunity system
asha 10/12 hours? you must be joking try 15/16 hours thats a wee bit more like a good days work/then carry on next day were talking about long distance here not 300/400 miles
ive been reading this thread and was wondering, because the problems in scotland 2 nationals shu/rpra,in nationals in wales does it matter if your a member of welsh homing union or rpra to be a member is their any rules about this .I think maybe im wrong, but i think the irish national flying club has members of the irish homing union and or the rpra just a question?
well said black w/f .you dont see any of the snrpc members coming on slagging off the snfc ,just seems to be the other way round,SORRY for being off topic :(
SILLY money for a pigeon .IT sould be the breeders that should make good money in sales not the racers.GIVE ME the hen that lays the golden eggs any day
i would like to think that the commitee would have a sympathetic look at your case/special circumstances/money for new loft/new birds/loft equiptment etc/must have cost a pretty penny.I know i would bring it up at commitee level. :(
A cracker mate do you think it would do 500/600 miles or offspring from him.I would recomened this guy to buy from ,i bought a jan Aarden from him a few years ago and bred a 1st sect /5th open SNRPC lessay 2006 hard race only 15 home on day 1100+ birds in race 496 miles this man has quality birds
