NO we were not allowed to be members read the rules .It wasn,t the snfc we had probs with it was the SHU.I was one of the management commitee who stood down,as the rule said HAD TO BE MEMBER OF SHU,sorry for shouting

walked out ?we all had to leave we were not members of SHU so therefor couldn,t be members of snfc .

i think some of you are picking up budgie wrong he,s not saying old birds are rubbish what he IS saying is there are birds being sold just now 7,8,9,10, years old for whatever reason .SO be carefull .IF a friend gives you an old stock bird a loan of is not the same as selling these birds to strangers .There is just to many for sale just now ,all probably well bred , outstanding pedigrees ,as i said before a needle in a haystack?

budgie i agree with you ,im national minded so if i breed 100 youngsters and get 2 good ones ,i mean 2 to score at national level then im doing not bad not brilliant most will never get any to score .I think there is good birds in loft then theres top birds its these birds im looking for.AS for older stock needle in haystack springs to mind give me youngsters out of top birds anytime/or old at clearance sales

I bought the best in 1984 lovely birds won lots of firsts inc first feds won in show pen but over 300 miles rubbish.I found they were to soft and got rid of them after abouf 5 or 6 years ,so you can see i gave them time :(

Gareth im sorry but we did nothing wrong .The SNFC rule requires all members to be members of the SHU .So with the proposal to change the rule being beaten the fanciers left the meeting as we COULD,NT stay as we were not then ellegible to be their .SO tell me how we were wrong? IT would have been wrong for us to stay.

WELL i have just got birds with my pal from south coast england to scotland with pigeon tracker ,picked up about 3:30pm they phoned to say that the birds might not be up next day,thats OK,as long as they are looked after but low and behold 6:15pm at night they arrived at lesmahagow in great condition ,NOT BAD JUST OVER 26HRS .SO WELL done pigeon tracker THANX. AMTRACK was a very big nationwide company this is a small outfit in comparison so come on lads give them a chance after all we,ve all heard the HORROR storries with amtrack
