  7. i didnt know you worked as a weathet forecaster? ill not be worrying as were not away till tomorrow.
  8. full cloud cover here in port glasgow bluddy freezing though.
  9. thats what i do mate ,and ill race them to between 250 and 500 miles depending on how they are at that time of the year , no use just sending them for the sake of it.
  10. hello harry.
  11. even if you get up it will be a sore one for you boys i think, with the north east winds .
  12. WERE ARE YOU RACING FROM?
  13. How many scottish feds sent there birds tonight ? With low cloud and harr forecast for tomorrow for eastern scotland, Glasgow fed did the right thing in my opinion and delayed basketing till saturday night. Only time will tell if it was the correct decision .
  14. would have to agree with alf your youngster in the central fed sale was a cracker ,if i had some more dough with me i would have bid for it myself QUALITY MATE(i only had a ton with me and put £50 reserve on my own so had £50 to spare)
  15. yes your right kevin im not scared to jump them , i would rather do that than throw them away in silly wee blow homes ,because you can and will lose pigeons when there east in the wind.
  16. i never race my youngsters last year and some of my yearlings first race might be catterick about 160 miles as long as there fit enough i would send them and as long as its warmer and no east winds.
  17. no mate as long as they are still going well around the loft hopefully a few tosses next week, jump them ,have they raced as youngsters?
  18. theres been a lot of bad races from kelso area so with very cold eastely winds and as its only the first race of the season an air of caution should be exercised thats what i think anyway,we in the glasgow fed have an option to delay marking till saturday night marking if the weather is to be bad on the saturday in fact we race marked on a sunday, last year i think, for a monday race when most called off for the weekend .
  19. if this is the forecast i totally agree with you homer its only a mickey mouse race anyway its only a wee toss ,ps alf how many miles from carnwath to you? as the crow flies
  20. thats not bad at all at just over £45 /pigeon well done
