ive now got 6/8 since 14:40 , a lot of birds coming out of the west today heading back towards lanarkshire ,batches of 4's and 6's .

timed at 12:35:11 from leicester lib 07:30 flying 275 miles 3 birder and golden ring bird i timed as well, have 4/8

today they would come over moffat or further west gareth .

DONT KNOW ABOUT DOWN YOUR WAY but its blowing a bit up here.

THEY WILL FLY ABOUT 220/230 MILES AND LIB'D AT 06:30 MARK.

A good friend of mine told me the reason for the birds getting dehidrated ,normally happens in easterly winds as its a dry wind from the continent ,no humidity . The races with west winds the birds are not so thirsty.

HOW many birds have you had hawked coming home from races ,i have had nine,ranging from only a few tail feathers/talon holes--- to ripped apart, from a team of 36 ,its getting worse every year .

i have to agree with derek ,if they have a hard one from 260 miss the following race especially yearlings , but normal race get them to both no worries .

this is the truest saying in pigeon racing (if in doubt keep them out) .good luck whatever you decide ,this as you have said could either make or break your season.

listen mate im entitled to my opinion,as you are ,ive asked a question and jason has answered it and im happy with the answer .

well mate that the reason they dont look happy then ,i could never keep birds locked up, all my stock fly out everyday, i bought two hens for stock last autumn ,had them for four weeks ,couldnt stand moving them back and forward to let others out , without being paired up, out they went and both broke no probs ,birds need there freedom to look good and be happy.

they just dont look happy mate ,do they not get out? ie prisoner stock

is it just me ,but they dont look very good to me ,in fact they look as if they need some tlc, fools and their dough are easily parted

well andy no takers ,and to think how many lanarkshire men are members on here too .

i think if the teddy bears would have played all season like they did today the league would have been won months ago ,the best they have played all season by far

i ended up with 17/20 from newark ,not the best but not the worst either ,the racings been funny this year we havent had a good steady race yet .i await a north wester
