what if your bird only just makes it home at say 10:45pm and your winning , the boys in aberdeen have no chance of beating you if there is no hod ,it would be very unfair to all the longest fliers in all long distance clubs.how many birds are actually timed in after 10:45 pm and before 04:45 i'll tell you very, very few .

you better go look at rules mate the race is closed so there is no time between 10pm and 5am or 10:45 and 04:45 as it is in our longer races.

its 357 to me and between 280 and 370 to most ,and wanstead flats is east of london

its a 8/9 hr race pete so most if not all will be home in plenty of time ,and every one would be contacted ,this was a decision made last night that we would try and get away today ,the transporter would be in wanstead flats for around 7am and sit and water birds for at least 3 hours .

THE SNRPC HAS LIBERATED BIRDS AT WANSTEAD FLATS TODAY AT 11:30 IN A LIGHT SOUTH/EAST WIND ,WE HAVE DECIDED WITH A WINDOW IN THE WEATHER TO GET A RACE TODAY AS THE LONG RANGE FORECAST LOOKS DOUBTFULL GOOD LUCK TO ALL

as someone has said if you time at 10pm ,5pm is exactly the same time ,because the race is closed in between as its deemed to dark for birds to fly, i know its seems unfair if you time at 10:10pm(you are credited as 10pm ) and some one times at 5am and he is only a yard futher than you he WILL BEAT YOU ,although you will be credited as a day bird (as its before midnight) , his would be second day bird.

My good friend(JOHN MURDOCH) (MURDY TO HIS FRIENDS ) got rings from his old club (shu) after a lot of fighting in the renfrew fed( WHEN IT SPLIT),he resigned at HIS CLUBS agm by letter and joined my club in clydebank (rpra) . this week he tried to transfer a su pigeon sent cheque and transfer ,the shu kept the cheque and refused the transfer ,he phoned and asked why and was given the bums rush (fobed off) he then asked about his 100 su rings this years and was told unless he joined the shu (payed his years dues ) the rings would not be registered in his name and therefore he would not be able to race them at all. Let me tell you this guy is no way political at all he just wants to race his pigeons , he phoned the SHU PRESIDENT IAN NOBLE and was told the same $hite ,his young bird rings were in limbo unless he joined the shu this year (ps before he resigned he contact linda brooks at the shu and told her what he was going to do and( WAS TOLD BY HER EVERYTHING WOULD BE OK ABOUT HIS 2009 RINGS) ,WHAT IS MY FRIEND TO DO NOW I ASK ? and what do you think of the shu for doing this
