i never thought for a moment that the snfc would have sent birds to a race in a transit ,no chance . thanx to gareth for setting this straight . ps would it have been kenny youngs wee transporter ? we have raced from that once or twice .

were do you get 9th october for his clubs agm? his old clubs agm for 2009 was late march .

its not rings they wont transfer its birds he has bought and wants to race them he sent in a transfer request and a cheque for £1:50 they sent the transfer back without being transfered and kept the cheque,when he phoned the shu office they said they are not transfering his birds as he is not a member, he then phoned the shu president ian noble he told him the same $hite.if to get his rings registered he must pay a shu fee then he will ,but this has left a sour taste in his mouth.

i will make this very easy to understand , the man got his rings on 4th jan 2009.Before the fed agm their was a political thing going on, a club outside the fed boundary tried to come in the backdoor ,there was a lot of their not getting in ,yes let them in sort of stuff ,argueing ,fighting in clubs, clubs splitting up ,you name it , the big man wanted nowt to do with all that stuff, all he wanted to do was fly his pigeons ,(he has only raced for 3/4 seasons so a newbie really) , he asked me about my club and then when he met a few of my club members wanted to join my club this was in march ,before his clubs AGM, when he got accepted he then resigned from his old club ,but he had already rung nearly 60/70 youngbirds with su rings ,but before he joined my club or resigned from his old club he contacted the SHU SECRETARY MRS L.BROOKES, he told her of his plight and was told that all would be sorted out ,as ive said the big man has/had no mallace against the shu . so he resigned from an SHU CLUB and joined an RPRA CLUB .HE DID NOT CARE IF THE NEW CLUB WAS shu or rpra ,he just wanted out the way of the fighting and argueing . its not just about registering rings though ,the SHU wont transfer any birds to him or in his name as he is no longer a member.

alex he phoned the shu office before he did any of this and WAS TOLD BY MRS LINDA BROOKES that everything would be ok ,now they have done a u-turn. IF HE HAS TO PAY A MEMBERSHIP FOR THIS YEAR THEN FINE . but they are not reporting lost birds to him ,if he doesnt join next year WILL THEY DO THE SAME ?(with this years rings)my guess YES

why does he need to pay an shu fee ?and i am not stirring anything up im just bemused by the hole thing ,why sell rings then dont register them ?im on his side thats for sure be it an shu or rpra problem i would still support him

as you well know you order your next years rings in september/october ,he ordered his got them off his club secy on the 4th jan 09 but with all the political fighting that was going about between renfrew fed and most of his club mates and dumbarton club ,he had enough ,and resigned from his old club at the AGM ,he just doesnt want anything to do with politics ,hes an easy ossy kind of guy , he joined my club duntocher and clydebank as we have a very good club with good camarardery ,but the SHU wont register his rings because he is no longer a member.and yes he has payed for them and left his old club in good terms

that is fine with one or two but he has 90 youngbirds surely a few would be reported and who do they get reported to ? YES THATS RIGHT THE SHU but they dont have them registered to anyone ,so where do they end up?

duntocher and clydebank results were 1st morris bros doing 1259,2nd dougie spittal doing 1234, 3rd and 4th big murdo doing 1219,1218, then myself doing 1209 ,not bad considering i only sent 4 and all above me had big teams out , my timer a yearling latebred red cheq hen carrying nestflights ps i lost 4 mins bird would not land ,she has done this nearly every race once for 20 mins .forgot to mention that 14 members sent around 150/160 birds

think about what your saying mate(read old yellows post that his get transfered no probs and he's not a member) , if you have or buy su rings/birds they should be obligated to either transfer them or at least register them in your name all be it an n/a number as they do for anyone else in the brittish isles ,if my mate registers them with the rpra as the shu have told him to do and a non member gets one in there garden and contacts the shu they have no record of who's bird it is then how can this bird be repatriated ?as the shu office has said to one of the finders of (murdos) birds feed it and let it go its not your problem .that is shocking . >

well pal for one register his rings in his name as he has paid for them ,and after the way he has been treated he no longer wants anything to do with them (shu).ps this is not a political dig at the shu i just feel for the big man ,me i dont even try to transfer any su rings now i register them with the rpra that they are my property,if it happened to you(you buy gb rung birds but the rpra wont tansfer them ) what would you do mate?i'll tell you you would be on here ranting and raving about it ,and rightly so ,

THEY WONT REPORT LOST PIGEONS TO HIM EITHER, HE HAS HAD ONE REPORTED TO THE ORIGONAL OWNER MR CARL GRUENTHER DUMFRIES ,WHEN HE SENT FOR IT HE REALISED THAT IT WAS SOLD AT A SALE AND BIG MURDO BOUGHT IT WHEN HIS WIFE PHONED THE SHU THEY TOLD HER IT WAS BECAUSE MURDO WAS NO LONGER A MEMBER OF THEIR UNION ,SO SAD , SO HOW MANY MORE HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE SHU BELONGING TO MURDO THAT THEY HAVE NOT PASSED ON ,I KNOW OF ONE OTHER TO A NON MEMBER IN WALES SHE PHONED THE SHU AND THEY TOLD HER THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW WHO OWNED IT SO SHE PASSED IT TO A FANCIER WHO PHONED THE SHU AND DEMANDED TO KNOW WHO OWNED IT SO THEY RELENTED ,THIS IS FACT, NAME AND PHONE NUMBERS IF REQUIRED, IF ANYONE WANT TO HEAR FROM THEM 1ST HAND WHAT THE SHU TOLD THEM

this problem is because a 3/4 hundred fanciers left the shu and joined the rpra as they were not happy with the way the shu was being run ,my mate big murdo was a member of the shu till this year ,there was a lot of politcal fighting in his club/fed so he joined my club/fed an rpra one and resigned from his shu club ,so the shu is taking the hump and playing funny beggers with the members that leave ,WHY SHOULD I OR ANYONE ELSE PAY A FEE TO A UNION THAT TREATS FANCIERS THIS WAY? PS THIS FANCIER MR JOHN MURDOCH IS NOT ONE BIT POLITICAL AND WHEN HE DECIDED TO LEAVE HIS OLD CLUB/FED HE CONTACTED MRS LINDA BROOKES AT THE SHU OFFICE AND ASKED IF IT WOULD BE OK TO DO THIS AND THAT HIS RINGS ETC WOULD BE REGISTERED SHE TOLD HIM NO PROBLEM. BUT NOW 100% U TURN .

totally agree andy i have said it at the snrpc commitee meetings as well and more or less got laughed at but you can bet your bottom dollar these same fanciers WILL BE FEEDING THESE HIGH ENERGY MIXES IN THERE LOFTS . ive been told the dutch use cribbs maize en-route to there races .is this correct?

maybe someone should joe ,only i wont do it ,but the responce from ordinary decent SHU fanciers on this site just sums it up ,brush it under the carpet stuff , and they are supposed to be fair and decent ,there just as bad as the office bearers ,it doesnt surprise me , makes you want to pack it all in .

ian they done it to me last year they did not transfer a bird and kept my £1:50 and done it to my mate only last week ,i put a thread about his dealings with the SHU ,they first of all would not transfer a bird then they will not register his 09 rings ,they kept his cheque and cashed it ,but refused to transfer it as he is not a member of the SHU. so I'LL ASK again are they breaking the LAW?AND HOW DOES THE ORDINARY SHU FANCIER FEEL ABOUT THIS?
