I had one in the seventies, members in our club looked up to him, when he went past their lofts they knew there's wouldn't be long.A Scottish stray caught on the docks, reported and was a gift from the owner.

Hi Paul,
That's probably why we never saw much wet canker years ago,my late father always put bi-carb in the water every Sunday. If the birds weren't flying well round the lofttrough the week they got a mixture of bu-carb and epsom salts Thursday. ??

The above is taken from http://compnetworking.about.com/od/workingwithipaddresses/f/hideipaddress.htm
So this is incorrect ?

Lost my best one this season from the loft after winning the club,3rd fed and about 17th combine.Looking at that photo you would have taken them for nest mates.

Ps should have said from Lessay.
For some reason some Lanarkshire birds have travelled due West from liberation point ,reading through various posts there are birds reported in Morcambe and up the West coast, Workington and Maryport area.As I said in one of those posts race bords were coming out of the lake district over the village where I live heading down to the Solway Firth. Why ? I don't know but our birds do not fly that route.
Lindsay.
No chance of any birds travelling this morning, weather was OK. first thing but it's belting it down now (Maryport Cumbria.).
Hope you lads get a few more back.

I live in Dearham about 2/3 mile from Maryport, having no pigeons away this week I went to my mates lof to watch his arrival. Our birds obviusly follow the coast route (West) with the wind that there was that's what we expected. There were batches of birds coming out of the Lakes which is South East. These bird were not stopping and I remarked that they must be Scottish birds.Could these have been yours ??????? This was around 13:00 to 13:45 hrs.
