  4. Liverpool winning 1:0 half time.
  5. Give its leg a good soak with witch hazel and put it in a nest box or some where quiet with plenty of shavings for it to rest on,obviously provide with food and water. Lindsay.
  6. Training the same day I would say yes, when I do mine I vaccinate mark them on the vac sheet and throw them up,they'll fly for a hour or so.Vaccinating leaving in a basket over night I would have second thoughts about?? JMO. Lindsay
  7. In hand mate, there's millions of the Bas***ds. Lindsay
  8. Always have let them have their morning fly, just to see if there are any problems. Now I'm not too happy with letting them out because of BOP,a strike on Friday morning or even late Thursday would be fatal and probably in more ways than one. Lindsay
  9. Good post Tony. Keep away from anywhere in Cumbria,to be honest I think there are no feds. liberate here, there are more Peregrines than dog s**t in this area. Lindsay.
  10. My mate has the discs round his loft but he hung them up so they moved with the wind.

  13. I have had three reported, first one not too far away from a training toss apparently hit by BOP,it was reported in the Millom area and the fancier managed to get it nearer home when it returned under it's own steam.No2 was reported in Fleetwood in a local vets,a fancier mate was going to Morcambe to pick his misses up and collected several strays on his travels.No3 reported by a fancier in Lancaster and was again collected by the fancier who picked No2 up for me,again collecting several more. Lindsay. There have been a lot of young birds lost in Derwent Valley and West Cumbria federations, there are three or four fanciers who have gone out of their way to assist others,on behalf of myself and other fellow fanciers I would like to thank them for their genuine efforts. Lindsay C. Dearham.
  14. Just do the crossword etc. on line, same with the mirror.
  15. Hi Klaus, hope they turn in mate,it's hard enough to get a team together when you have an established loft, where as once over if you had 20/30 youngens you could fly the whole program and have birds to spare .Now your lucky to get to the first race breeding 60. Good luck mate. Lindsay.
  16. Great result mate ,well done. Lindsay
  17. Got to agree>>>>>>>>> > Lindsay http://books.shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=widowhood+by+dave+allen&_sacat=267
  18. Hi Paul,it's a great feeling when youngens do what you expect them to do,strays are another matter, you can toss them on their own miles away and the still turn up,do that with one of your own and it's gone.A couple of local fanciers have had birds reported 200ml South of liberation point, so they've gone that distance South instead of 100ml North ,how do you weigh them up. Lindsay

  24. I have a few youngens that have been on darkness,at the moment they are doing my head in racing the skies for upto a hour diving at the loft and off again.I have stopped racing because of early YBS,BOP,heavy losses in the Fed and stupid racing weather + I want some yearlings for next season. What's your opinion, would you keep them in and try to get them into the moult or have you some other methods that you would care to share. Is it too soon to start keeping them in ?.Do you put them on semi darkness.Butter milk ? Sedochol ? Or any other info that might help me win a race or two with my yearlings right through the moult. All help appreciated. Lindsay
