I did think that but seemed a bigger area for the cock bird to perch on when the front door was closed when they were at an angle. Will only use these to get em paired up then planning to remove the fronts and will knock something more suitable up a little later on. Still a work in progress boys. Sorry guys meant to update this as i went along but been a crazy last week or so. Few pics attached, nest box layout a bit unusual but wouldn't fit in as what i had space for wasnt standard sized widowhood sort of boxes. Small loft admittedly but only looking to keep 6-7 pair of prisoners in here. Aviary pics to follow in next instalment.

Many thanks guys, we got discharged this afternoon and all home safe. He's healthy happy and couldn't ask for more. Was a stressful few days so glad yo be home now. Wouldnt wanna go thru it again in a hurry though. Told the missus only feathered babies from now on haha😃

All well and good thanks lads. Was a long few days but she gave birth to a little lad at 1.01pm today. Had to have a caesarian but little fellas doing well. We gotta stay in the hospital another night but hopefully have em home soon. Cheers for all the well wishes. (So no peanut butter and cricket batt required haha. We havent agreed a name for him just yet but will do shortly. Pic of the little lad attached. Ps i dont usually look so grumpy but no proper sleep for a few days has that effect.

Cheers lads for the kind words. She was due to have it 1st April but waters broke early if she hasnt had it by 2am they are gonna induce her so gonna be a long old night. Glad when it's out so we can get the littleun back home and i can carry on improving the loft!

Been in hospital today 5am till 7am then back 2pm till now. Managed to convince the nurse to let us watch the footy though haha. Missus is the one suffering waiting to lay her first egg but jeez taking a while!
