are your birds yearlings or older, homoform should not cause it but have not used the pellets only a good breeding mix, as pellets are a dry food it could be causeing them to drink more than thay need.

this is not shu rule, shortest loft is, more than 50ft apart, then 2 distances are needed.

as said above it only neads to be twilight darkness so birds can still see to get a drink and get back to perches, i take mine off the dark 6 weeks before first yb race.

sorry my mistake about distance to middle of garden, we dont use the old maps any more, the planing office at local council give a computer copy of the area you require, if the house is built it is on,it is put on as soon as planing permission is past.
