  8. true tam you need to have good birds no matter what the system not been to the yb national for few years now no chance for the west section imo and the last yb race was for the yb national men so no point if your not going do you darken your yb tam

  11. for the new perches he made me first class m8 and none cheaper anywhere in britain hope he keeps his work going as its great stuff at a great price that cant be beaten been wanting the perches with pull out tray for ages but could not afford them now will have 70 in my yb section after jim and i fit them in today so thanks to you both
  12. well speaking for my self wiley i still like to win the yb races but im not prepaired to darken them and have won out to our yb national with natural yb its the amount of fanciers who say there darkies do nothing as yearlings that puts me off even trying it m8 and for every one that says there darkies do well in later life many more say they do nothing but ive nothing against it if it works for the guys who do it good and well ill stick with nature but good luck to all who differ another reason i go every yb race is to win our combined ave trophy witch is the best trophy in our club but my best yb are stopped after 3 or 4 races
  13. got to agree with you rab never seen the need winning youngbird races are bonus to me and you can still win them without all the hassle of darkness i like to keep everything natural but everyone to there own
  14. son daughter 6 grandchildren all in and out the loft since babies never any problems think someone been watching the flying rat programs on telly that did pigeon sport a lot of harm imo baby will be fine stu
  15. morning guys
  16. must say wind direction plays a very big part in open positions jake but it works both ways east section birds have to put up a great performance in east winds and west section birds have to put up great performance in a west wind to get good open positions great pigeons and fanciers in all sections imo but the wind will determine the open winner 99 times out of 100 but its an argument no one can win because untill we put trackers on the birds the way the birds come is all guess work wonder why its never been done at snfc races or others for that matter it would solve the east v west argument in one go
  17. thats a deff yes for me jake if you train yb from the east they come from the east all there racing life i see it in club and fed racing never mined national races i want my birds to fight for the middle route if they dont there beat so training them east is a no no for me m8 dont mined an odd toss with old birds but my yb must train down the middle watch the east and centre sections dominate the lanarkshire fed this year unless we get another year of east winds jmo
