Drugging pigeons has been going on for years in Northern Ireland and Ireland , my father raced pigeons in Antrim in the late 80s and the early 90 and it's was going on back then .

Try and Get them down on eggs m8 and wait till there chipping and then let them out you will find the birds won't go to far from the nest .

Last season A time a 2 yr old hen from the inland national at 4 mins past midnight a couldn't believe it had to check my ets system no less than 5 time even got my dad round to check incase a was still drunk and still didn't believe it till a had my ets print out in my hand.

Spot on Paul unless you have a family member who's been in the sport who can give u the education needed to compete its hopeless as pigeon fanciers are like the mafia and won't pass on any knowledge . So uz novices are fighting a losing battle from the off .

That was the thing that's bothering me putting the birds pick into the loft at nite as I have no lights in the Dookit as I like to keep it as natural as possible, a wouldn't mind trying ma hand at showing but my main aim is to keep my birds stress free and happy .

What is peoples opinions on showing there race teams on the of season? Would you's say it's ok and does not do the race team any harm ? Or Would you's say the birds are better of left in the shed ? Thanks Davie

I started the season with 65 youngsters , lost 7 from the roof b4 training even started ( i think this was down to my birds being out during the day when people are training from down the m74 and ofcourse the old mr Percy ) and 5 killed from the wires outside my house now after 4 races with south lanarkshire fed am down to 46 left .
