RIP truly sad news

Ive recently been working for Mahle Engine systems in Kilmarnock making steel bushes for car engines the factory makes Bushes, Bearings, Flanges Etc for car engines however about 40 of us got paid off about 3 weeks ago and its been announced that a further 170 workers will be paid of by January with the work moving over the Germany, a factory that once had over 2500 workers will be down to less that 200 be Christmas, sadly its a sign of the times the country is to busy looking at whats going on overseas rather than work on our economy as they say the rich are getting richer and the working class are now struggling to put food on the table, Sadly in Kilmarnock once the doors close at Mahle that will be Kilmarnock finished with Production a town that once had Johnnie Walkers, Carpet Factories, Glenfield Valves, Barclays trains and many many more and sadly none are left

I think 99.9% of Ayrshire fanciers think what Eben does is fantastic and never accepts a penny in return I think over this season alone eben has got over 100 birds back to their lofts, these guys that collect the birds down I the Solway for us and eben deserve a big pat on the back and maybe a pint or two for getting the birds home to many fanciers with minimum fuss : :emoticon-0167-beer:emoticon-0167-beer:

1 this morning that 12 /13 with Ayrshire fed at otterburn

4 members sent 48 birds to otterburn from Kilmarnock club with Ayrshire fed 846 or so from the fed in total very poor turn out indeed 13 from us

the publics perception of pigeons and the fanciers is shocking if the public really knew the full truth of the matter it would be a different story, I mean the cost of racing and keeping pigeons is high by the time you have feed them paid your fees to race and also for medication and vaccination you are hundreds if not thousands a year, and also the amount of time and energy that we put in to get our birds in condition and to make sure they are healthy, Personally we give all our birds the best we can afford to give them aswell as that if we do get them reported we go for them straight away to get the bird home am sure many of us are like this, but we can only do so much, I Would invite this woman to come to a fanciers loft everyday for a week including a race day then maybe she would understand what we actauly do for our birds that would maybe be an eye opener to what really goes on out there

no am no going over till next year everytime I go over mick asked me to sort his phone to get him on the Ayrshire site

each club in Ayrshire fed must put a label on tha back on each basket stating sex of birds number of birds what club and racepoint they are going to, if any of the baskets are not sealed correctly or indeed any escaped pigeons the club in question is disqualified from the race

Do yous not put a label on the back of the crate to say if its cocks or hens and how many birds are in the basket
