ive put 23 hens in (on the closed side of the box tonight) ,tommorow the pairs will be closed in overnight together . hopefully come the full moon (night) they will be treading away

we have some of these ,and some of the white plastic ones . prefer the white uns , have had the timber block insert fall out of the blue ones a few times ,and a couple have become brittle over time ,jmho.

looking to breed around 44 (all being well) and keep around 30 to 32 (some going out to others) .will be half of what weve had last 2 years to establish loft , now have a good few older birds so can cut back a bit (famous last words)

hoping to put some hens in tonight ,just been doing the prep work. will collect rings on Friday night .
