lost 5 to the s/hawk this year and last week one flew at my birds while they were in the bath and pecking around the garden,i had only just walked back indoors when it happened and it was absolute chaos with some flying into the fences and some scattering in different directions into the sky,luckily some went back into the loft but i had a yb reported 20 miles away which was absolutely flown out and i couldnt believe how much weight it had lost when i collected it,it had obviously flown more than the 20 miles in different directions and then just dropped through exhaustion when it reached the coast,its back home now and on the mend but its getting beyond a joke now and gonna get worse

ermmmm a whole flagyl tablet,a tad too much me thinks rooster,i wouldnt wanna be your mates birds when treatment time comes around,he dont sound like the kind of bloke that does thing by halfs

nice to see the hawk on the receiving end for a change,wouldnt it be terrible if this is the start of a trend theres no shortage of crows so hopefully this is a sign of things to come

thank you for reporting this pigeon and for feeding and watering it,hopefully it will now find its way home but it may return to you for a drink especially in this hot weather-keep us posted kevin

what a terrible thing to happen i cant even begin to imagine what the affected fanciers must be feeling like? all that time/money spent on your birds only for that to happen,what was the gardener thinking leaving a bonfire alight especially with the winds weve been having? did they manage to save any birds or lofts on the allotments?

scum of the earth these so called ppl need putting down (not humanely) so they can endure the same pain and suffering they cause, makes me feel sick to the stomach but they in their own fxcked up minds can probably justify their actions

the reason i asked about s/hawks carrying pigeons off mid air is cos somebody about a mile away from me has tipplers and hes had a few taken mid air but then tipplers are smaller so maybe it is a hen s/hawk fattening herself up? i hope so cos the last thing i need is percy around my area,percy has been breeding in brighton (20 miles south of me) for a few years now so i suppose they will get up to my area sooner or later as their youngsters carve out new territories for themselves kev

hi,i got my pfl blood test results today which came back showing a level of reaction to pigeons of 53mcg/ml which means i am affected by exposure to pigeons can anyone tell me the best place to buy face masks and what type are needed? any other advice appreciated as really dont wanna give up the birds, kev
