They would seek other Quarry yes , there numbers would be hit lessening the impact and if there forced to go to the coast there territorial the numbers would naturally reduce . If you think that giving them a few weeks less food after a hard winter will have no effect I think your wrong if there not fully healthy and fattened up there going to struggle to rear health ybs and there own health at the same time , will they adjust probably but would have to complete the experiment first to see if any impact . Or a 5 year ban on racing and flying birds but that will never happen
  18. Plenty been done in my area to deter the attacks , guess I'm unfortunate never to see one around my loft , but I lost one a week ago today and I'm certainly not sitting on my hands I've also advised others who are getting hit I know plenty of country lads
  19. Completely with ya I shall make proposals for next season we tend to get crap weather early season and good weather at back end and if we nudge our season a few weeks to May we could resolve a lot of problems and needless losses
  20. Well judging by the photos we see regularly they aint taking what we would want . Starting later would benefit our birds
  21. I think your kidding yourself that doing the same as we've done for years aint added to the bop numbers if we continue to feed them there numbers are going to go unchecked even if odd one hits a window / car or whatever accident it may have , yes bops will find prey but will have a harder time of it as they should have if nature was in balance but it aint , we are creating a imbalance just like the R.S.P.B have by releasing these bops , your either a part of the problem or a part of the solution . Here's just one part start later a few less fat bop going to nest and struggle to rear will have more impact than a few accidents and the end result is less bops simple really
  22. I think the answer is everyone to make applications to there federations to start racing in first week of May all we are doing is fattening them up by starting so early , if we are to make any difference in there numbers we need to change our ways so we don't fatten them up before going to nest in our early season .
  23. Happy Birthday guys have a great day
