if there is suitable nesting places and there is an abundance of prey you have them in equel numbers where ever you go ! FACT !

work at st fergus gas terminal and there is quite alot of woodies nest down in the modules on cable trays and nearly every nest is built with pieces of thin wire,electric cable and plastic tie raps

my first time there (far bottom left pic) hope its nae the last? had great nite seeing all the trophies and meeting great fanciers so if that dosent inspire me to do well nothin will !!

not lettin them oot wont do them any harm! never let mine oot last winter and i had a good season as for them gettin fat just ration the feed. To not feed them for a day now and again wont do tem any harm either !!

Having the same poblem m8.only seems to be noticable on my pieds,mealys or reds for some reason ??? gave them a bath with garlic water yesterday so will check them tomorrow hopefully its worked

if any of them are red/red cheqs or mealys the cocks will most definatly have black markings(splashes)or black ticks on either their tail or flight feathers

i got the metal gratings from my work (st fergus gas terminal) i think they would be quite costly to buy

Davie i have had hardwood grilles but now i have metal gratings and they are much better! the only thing i would say against them is there is not much bounce in them when a doo gets knocked off it perch

they have been recently spotted on the back of the neck with easytox drops

have noticed old and young birds sometimes kicking back their legs while preening.i know stamping of their feet is to do with having worm's. would like to know if this is the same ?
