  1. One for you john, would you put your untrained youngsters for their first race with another fed? Let's say an Edinburgh one with you flying 50miles or so to the west and no other birds coming your way
  2. Genuinely was not taking the p#ss,never said mine were held back by anyone's but was enquiring how I could get them to break without training, i train mine as often as I can, over 20 times so far and although I lose plenty training my losses racing are lower than most ,they get attacked at lib on about 20% of the time but just regroup and clear quickly, undoubtedly some get nailed but most cope
  3. Why the insults,I asked a civil question on an interesting thread?
  4. Would be interested in how they can train ybs to break without training
  5. In our fed north of Scotland it is over 100 miles wide and we are in the middle,no training would result in horrific losses but each to their own circumstances
  6. I would argue that if you are happy for your birds to follow trained ones home then training ain't needed
  7. I've never to coatbridge
  8. Racing pigeons originated from rock doves
  9. Well done both of you, great flying
  10. Again I must agree with you but once again we have a post suggesting mass action to dispose of the problem and it ain't going to happen its just rhetoric
  11. Totally agree but they are only doing what nature intended them to do,a friend bought me a morning at our local falconry centre 5 years ago and as I am a bird lover and not just a fancier it was a huge eye opener for me
  12. Pretty horrific way to kill anything, not something I would be willing to do
