If you are going to take a snap-shot of the culprit stake the carcass to the ground so that when it returns it cannot lift it and take it away. That way you will get time for it to pose for the camera as it will start to strip it where it is. Paul.

Good point young man. Dont listen to the knockers you just enjoy your birds. One of my regrets when I was younger is that I didnt take photos of my birds. Another quick point regarding the law. If you do not have notices up at the entrance to your premises stating that you have CCTV in operation you are breaching the publics civil rights ( in a public building ie a shop ). I am unsure wether any images captured could be used in a case if the signs are not up. Absolute madness I know. Paul.

It is not actually crimewatch that are doing it, it is the police using crimewatch as a medium with I imagine permission from the courts. The trouble is these scumbags know their rights and if they could they would sue the site, sue the person posting them aswell. It is not worth it to be honest. If photos can be taken off of the cctv then I am all for them being circulated around the local community and the wider pigeon community but you have to be careful. It needs to be done covertly and as much as I am against vigilanties it may be the way to get the owners property back and send out a message. It would be ironic if the injured party ends up in trouble. Paul.

The site wouldn't be allowed to put them up it would be breach of data protection. I have to deal with shoplifters all the time and we are not allowed photos of them. any images can only be given to the police. You would have to be careful with what you are doing. I think it is shocking and even if these scum are caught the punishment will not fit the crime I bet. Paul.
