if the loft is dry,, spiders webs will appear, these actually [in my opinion] do more good than harm,, eating moths [you will see them in their webs] also feed on red mite , flies etc etc,, natures way lol but allthough an ordinary fly spray will kill these, they will also kill the moths and flies etc,, i find it does no harm whatsoever to the birds,,,, as long as their out, when you use it, ,, the ordinary" big d" cheap house-hold fly spray contains the same ingredient [permithiron, spelt wrong ] as does the pigeon insect spray,, but less than a fifth the price a true scot ;D

i would say theres much truth in this when the bird is completely moulted off course,, to me this would show a good moult and a well balanced pigeon also, in good condition,,, strange thing is we all know that a racing pigeon has 12 tail feathers,, so their cant be a" middle one", so to see only one feather , as mentioned, one must over lap the other, either the left middle or the right middle , ,, in looking at many birds ,some have the left middle tail feather overlapping, some have the right middle tail feather overlapping,,, ,,, ive often wondered why,, :)

i would say this fancier [in my opinion] is right,,,, this could be blamed on im-proper management of the moult, or in fact just a weekness in the bird,, as all the other birds would seem ok , i would go for the latter,,

theres allways many different opinions on pigeons, i suppose really , its mainly up to the owner,, but thats the beauty of pigeons, no-one is really ever right,, and really its only self opinions, and probably a case of trial and error,, ,, but the less errors the better
