  2. not too many fanciers on the east side fancy a wee gamble this has always been the case at national racing with the fanciers in the west much keener on a punt. :) ;)

  5. i think john houston and andy mckee are doing the reports, john did a very good job as snfc pro last time, but i think by a country mile wee joe is the man for the job and also the libline as the updates were sketchey to say the least. :) ;)
  6. 324 birds away from f region snfc, great birdage from the guys in the toughest spot, good friend john harwood in at 3.26 flying 337 mls looks very handy from the pensioner on the pushbike. :) .
  7. due to the terrible race and losses last week the midland fed will not be at uttoxeter this w/end as in fed programme, this weeks race will be from appleby, lets all hope we can have a good race, all hoping! :'( :)
  8. 6/15 midland fed 2.30 sun, missing birds that have scored in snfc races, still hoping. :-/ :-/ :-/
  9. delboy, totally gutted 1 home from 15, a 7yr old cock why oh why did we go up when it seemed to all it would be a holdover, lets hope their about in the morning, although not too optimistic! :( :(
  10. midland fed disaster :( :( :(
  11. midland fed on way back to crawford :( :(
  12. sapper the site is misleading as y/bird sale list is after report on 2007 races, hope this helps. :)
  13. bidding seems to be slow looking at snfc site, strange as their appears to be some very well bred youngsters? :)
  14. midland fed no word until after 12. :-/ :-/
  15. doo, racing into ayrshire with the snfc is a very hard shift one i do not envy, you mention the ybn which i think is the the hardest race of all in the snfc with all the birds running up the east side of the country hence some fanciers with all their birds home and locked up while you 4 hrs later are still waiting on your first arrival, soul destroying, these same fanciers scratch their heads and wonder why the fanciers of ayrshire do not send birds, simple answer these fanciers do not stay in ayrshire, not all doom and gloom though as their have been some great performances from the old bird nationals into ayrshire. as mentioned by gareth the sections have been rejigged so all to play for, good and great fanciers in all areas and if your gonna get a good doo the scottish national flying club is the place to get one. good luck. :) ;)
  16. first swallows at the campsie hills today, summers here. :) :)
  17. have just had a yearling return today, was lost last week in july 07 from lockerbie still rubbered and a bit thin, feathers bleached and still wingstamped, very pleased too see the bird as have had some great birds in the past which have taken the same path! :)
  18. got to agree have used straw for over 30 years the birds love it. :)
  19. delboy has a very softspot for this race IB as he was just in front of sandy with ist section 5th open, thats definate as he has told me 500 times!! :) :) ;D ;D
  20. certainly the racing from belgium in 2001 gave us food for thought, not just the national with good combine racing also. i dont think we will have any more to fear at ypres than usual as we know all nationals are a test and not for the faint hearted! :)
  21. maybe time for the mighty lanarkshire to have a wee change in format, mostly an all male afair at presentations these days not to many wives / girlfriends that keen on attending pigeon functions, shame really but a sign of the times. midland fed have a smashing presentation night with a top quiz panel a raffle of two top youngsters and assorted prizes and also a smashing fish supper all for a fiver! very hard these days to get a good sit down meal for the price doo men will pay especially lanarkshire doo men!! :) ;)
  22. get both the rp & bhw although recently the rp has very little scottish news partly due to the loss of john harwood who has returned to the homing world, would agree too many of the same articles being repeated in both journals, also a bug bearer of mine loft report one week sale the next.definately the homing world gets my vote. :)
  23. tough one gladdo a lot of top fanciers on the forum all flying in different organisations,ie club fed combine amalg & national, also good & bad location as we all know loft location is paramount, numbers kept and also distances flown, also a lot depends on publicity recieved some fanciers maybe dependent on this publicity for financial gain, afraid i cant answer your question but certainly some top notch flyers on this forum! :)
  24. the above t3 was presented at the recent shu council meeting.
