yes bart and these positions were won when their were 8000 birds competing with over 3000 doos in the west section, jock had a fantastic picture of "no surrender" hanging in his living room, myself i feel very proud to have birds in the loft at the moment bred down through "no surrender" :) ps both my doos on the recent snfc ybn result are packed with jock allans blood!!!!

cheers gareth, this year their have been 2 sales this could be the reason for the drop in money, £4000 is still very good with very little cash about.think time also to do something constructive with some of the money in the bank, any ideas?? ;)
-
definately snfc falaise 520mls having our worst ever race from falaise!!! :(
-
bart had put up a similar thread about a month ago about joint convoying scottish national birds, and although on the hole it was recieved well i felt the scottish national fanciers will not get together with this one due to a few dinosaurs still living in the past, time now i think to move forward. ;) :)ps lanarkshire going with the national is a big step forward for us guys in the west!!!!!

lot of posts re top fanciers in snfc & posts regarding convoying snfc birds, after 24 hours seems strange no one seems to know how much the sale made????? :)

well i would like to nominate my mum & dad without them this year i would have struggled to get to any races due mostly to work commitments, they are always ready to do what needs doing mum getting me a dinner ready when training late after work, dad with the birds ready am or pm for training or racing, yes any wins or national prizes are a big bonus, but sometimes we forget about just enjoying the doos, i realise this is not really what "redwhiteblue" is after so will throw in peter virtue of co/path top drawer 500ml performances. :) :) :)

yes chenoise 2002, think maybe the usher/vaux brewery races in the mid 70s are what you are thinking of. :)
-
must say had a very enjoyable y/b season flying with lanarkshire fed, at present have 30 plus youngsters which have flown between 4 and 7 races, yes we would all like more distance but the experience gained will prove invaluable for the future,we only got 130mls but still sent to the yb national 260 plus miles for the first time in a couple of years, sending 7 clocked 4,5 home with 2 taking good positions, looking forward to 2009 with some yearlings for a change. ;) :)

anyone know how much the sale made? had to leave early, first few lots seemed to make good money. :)
-
well done del & wee joe, looks like a word in les parkinsons ear required!!! ;) ;)

yes he can be arrogant but in 2006 he was 19 and what 19 yr old speaks sense, hopefully in time he will mature and become a tennis great and maybe you might change your opinion a wee bit heres hoping. remember like myself he has grown up hearing tales every day of englands finest hour 1966 if my memory is correct, lol ;) ;) :)
-
sorry in 2006 i was working in the outer hebrides with no electricity, could you please bring me up to speed with the events of 2006, ie your dislike for the british tennis no 1.??? :)
-
dont get your drift here, are you not supporting the best tennis prospect we have had in years? should be ashamed!!!!! :)

had a really strange one this year, due to work my dad gets the birds ready on a friday most weeks ,this particular weeks race was from 130mls approx i had said to my dad that 8 birds from section A were racing this was easy as their are only 8 racers in sec A,meets up with dad at doo club birds already marked, birds up sat morning good race, third bird arrives and traps quickly, after a wee think couldnt work out what doo it was on entering loft found bird su03 still baffled checked race book bird definately ours and at race, checking back further the bird was lost from leicester 2004 and was that weeks pooler!!!. the doo had come home after being lost for 4 years on the friday and was sent to the race being third home (we won the race) she then flew the next 3 races and was stopped, hopefully after a good moult she will be ready for next years national at 6yrs old, nothing stranger than doos.!!!!! :) :)
-
anyone know the regional breakdowns for snfc leicester? :)
-
just had a look at what must be one of the best collections of birds ever assembled for sale in the uk and for a very much needed cause, daldorch house autistic school, well done derek and wee joe, still time for a bid!!!!! :) :)

think the best times were well after 12.15. honest bart. ;)
-
billy you only need do the loft with chloracarb, regardind the eradication of red mite!! ;)
-
"chloracarb" dont think this is spelt correctly,i keep bantam hens and this is one of the best products for red mite. :)
-
yes birds a bit twitchy,19/22 so quiet happy with returns, :) not sure but i think best in kirkintilloch 11.42 flying 121mls approx. :)
-
sunshine at the campsie hills, misty although burning quickly. :)
-
yes got too agree with your point with regards breeding but will disagree with your logic about schooling, "king billy" at least now the lanarkshire convoy has gained some experience hopefully standing them in good stead over the next few weeks which will definately be testing!! ;)
