hello "me" not a member of any club in glasgow stay in a village which has 5 glasgow fed members, i raced yesterday and out of common courtesy was keeping my youngsters in and was doing this due to the possible arrival of the local birds,the chap who i usually phone for word of glasgow fed libs was not racing hence the question on pb,hope this clears things up for you! :)which glasgow fed club do you fly in "me"? ps n instead of y please if you dont mind. ;)

i think with youngsters certainly in central scotland we must be at the race point,with distances of under 100 mls all you need is a small window of a few hours to get a good race,with todays trend i think sometimes we try to be too clever, ie weather forecasting basketing etc. ;)

anyone know if glasgow are up at otterburn??

king billy maybe a wee bit harsh on your fed and programme so far,theirs still plenty of time to sort them out over the next few weeks so dont wish them away just yet,please accept this from a fancier who has been racing youngsters from the traditional route over the past few seasons and has found the losses unacceptible to say the least! while looking through the recent snfc falaise result it makes very good reading for lanarkshire fanciers timing many 2 and 3 yr old birds taking top open positions just wondering how these birds were schooled as youngsters?? ;) good luck from otterburn. :)

yes gareth a hard life indeed at least i dont dye my hair unlike some :P got to say spot on regarding costs birdage joint convoying etc, we can talk all day about getting or having state of the art transporters but we must have the birdage to make it cost effective and more to the point something worth winning. :)what about next year snfc/snrpc joint convoy 600+miles 1st w/end july 2009,theres a start. :)

got to agree chris but we must start change somewhere,i have competed in national racing since 1977 along with my dad and at 41 years old i am just wanting to insure we have national racing for the forseeable future, i think each national race and convoy should at least wipe its face and amalgamation must go some way to insuring this, heres hoping!! :-/ :-/ :-/

got to agree with bigda!!!! :)once we get by the hump the racing will change,the birds are gaining valuable experience so enjoy it. ;)

after putting up the original post its quite refreshing to see so many good and some not so good points,again i have tried to look at national racing into scotland with an impartial view and feel now is the time to move forward,if we have 2 national clubs in scotland fine,but lets not have 13 races which we certainly do not have the birds for, if sharing is a possability lets do it, theirs no way any organisation can go to france with 380 birds,173 birds,450 birds or belgium with 280 birds,these birdages have been taken from both nationals this year and must surely have run at a loss. as quoted earlier 14000 birds have flown in national competition in 2008 over 9000 of these birds competing in inland nationals,time for us all to get round the table and get this sorted. :-/ :-/ :-/

would you please read the opening part of this thread,i asked what i thought to be perfectly pertinant questions and looking for some answers how to take national racing forward in scotland,i never asked about shu,£ 150,000,committees,george kelly,sam ovens or numptys,so if you find the time i would appreciate your thoughts on the points at the start of the thread.cheers. :-/ :-/

reading other threads it would appear lanarkshire have had an excellent race,with great returns.

can see all of the campsies,cant see any lanarkshire doos though!!!! ;)
