  1. Go on Gareth, say it, Im in the far, far away section. Nobody wants us. lol
  2. Then you dont have ybs m8. EVERYBODY has had it to some degree. ( Might not fly as good one day , thats Y.B.S. Might not respond to call, thats Y.B.S.Might not eat as much as usual, thats YBS )Thats not a maybe, or a guess.Thats a FACT. I have been told this by many top vets from both Britain and the continent
  3. Dont agree at all m8, everyone gets ybs to some degree. Whether it is birds not responding to getting called in or the lethal strain that kills them. It is a virus, therefore it is airborne. It is nothing to do with being a good fancier. Ive seen it at fanciers lofts and they didnt know they had it, stating that they have never been bothered with it
  4. Are you saying you cant beat good competition ;D ;D ;D ;D
  5. Put them in WEST section, eh Gareth > ;D I know when we flew against them then we were way behind in the early races. My honest opinion is that they should be in east section
  6. Asha, your a feckin CRANK but Im starting to like your sense of humour
  7. ;D ;D ;D everybody thinks the same Frank
  8. Alex, dont race them on widowhood as you will not benefit from this system, in the long run. Here, in Scotland, widowhood with yearlings, in my opinion , is not the way to establish a decent team for the channel. It may give you good results early doors but Im afraid you will lose more birds. Personally, if I was starting out and wanted to build a team for the distance, I would fly them naturally up to 260 miles this year and then next year they can go as far as you want. PATIENCE , is the key mate, but you already know that. All the best, Derek Hay
  9. A bit of sense from you, for *expletive removed* sake, whats the world coming to. ;D
  10. How dare you leave me oot , lol
  11. G.Rankin & son won it most times, others who have won are J.Hannah, D & L.Hay, J.Cameron, and I think J.Cosgrove & son
  12. My vote is the obvious choice, John McNEIL is without doubt the best all round fancier in the east section of the SNFC
  13. G.MacAloney & son, J.Hannah, G.Rankin & son, J.Cosgrove & son, J.Clark, A.Lockhart, N.Orr, J.Cameron, J.Cullen, J.Callan, J.O.Hara, D.Young, J.Stokes, J.Alston, D.Elliot etc, etc, etc. All top men in west section of SNFC.
  14. If you dont darken, they will be through body moult in 12 weeks from weaning but at the middle to end of August they will begin another body moult because they will be on their 5th, 6th flight.
  15. the last one for me, then 11, 12, and 15. Nice photos of cracking birds. Davey, where do they all originate.
  16. cant get the photos, whats up with my pc
  17. Meant to say, the race controller resigned after the last disaster. He did the honourable thing which the members appreciated.
  18. Good advice m8, job done ;D
  19. The worst races I have ever known were with the Midland fed. Firstly with Obs from LYMM 180 miles approx, returns for me 2/36 on day ( 4 in club on day ) and I ended up with 24 home over 2 weeks. That race finished alot of people for the year. Without doubt the worst race controlling and convoying I have ever seen in my 30 odd years in the sport. Secondly with YBS from Leyland, ( 160 miles approx ) only one pigeon timed on the day in fed and that was at 8pm.Birds were released in cold ne wind and no other fed liberated that day. Again, the worst controlling and convoying in Scottish racing history.
  20. Missed yer chance Jock :P
  21. Thats your pair f/cked :X
  22. I ll sell ye a pair

    Best Pigeon

Think your right Dave about the Holy Island winner .Surely that must have been a tail wind? Fantastic performance anyway. Donaldsons win last year was outstanding as well. I have the aunty of that bird in my stock loft
  24. Have to agree Jade, if you join any club then you must go by their rules. Basically, the annual fee for flying in the SNFC is £37.This applies to everybody, and anybody in Scotland that pays this is very welcome to join. Anyway, I wish all organisations the very best for this coming season. Enjoy your pigeons
