Would the N.F.C delay marking because of weather forecasts ( predictions ) ?? I don't think so, you must remember, drivers, transporters and marking stations are all booked for set dates. It would be great to be more flexible but sometimes that is only possible if you are a smaller organisation. But, I do agree, flexibility is the key to successful pigeon racing in this present climate.

Think so too Stuart, Monday looks best to me but things can change.We have very experienced men in our controllers , and they will be working very hard to insure our race is a success.

The SNFC have spoken about doing this for at least 3 years but this decision would have to be made by the members at their AGM.We could not make this decision without the members say so. Although it may turn out a good call for the snrpc, we would struggle to let our full membership aware of any changes to lib date. All the best with your race.

Never before have we had as many birds at the national, SECURITY being a big issue nowadays, I couldnt have people coming in the 2 doors, it would be chaotic.I have to agree ,Uddingston is too small for these types of races but a little patience and co operation from fanciers helps things run smoothly. You have to remember that this is all unpaid work and everybody is trying their best for the cause.

I wouldnt say shambles Alf but definately inadequate premises for putting 1100 doos away.The delay was inevitable with the amount of birds but hats off to all the guys that put a shift in today to make it a success

Have to agree Chris, the Geraldy baskets are great.Almond valley fed use them and the birds are very comfortable in them.Wicker baskets are ok too, when you see the birds lying in the shavings you know they are at ease . Downside to wicker is definately the feeding and watering systems and downside to Geraldy is when a cock is in a hen crate,or vice versa, you have a feckin job getting your hand into catch the bird.
