i assume you class an inland national as a "sprint" race. have a look at the eastbourne result and how many birds in the first 100 are from north of the tay flying not much shorter than you fly from falaise. the problem is there are too many channel races because there are 2 national clubs and as stated by (i think) jim o`hara at an snfc agm a few years ago there are a limited number of birds in scotland to go to channel races and the more races there are the less the entries will be for each. the snfc have now added ypres into the progamme. big mistake in my opinion the only thing that may save it is because lanarkshire have included it in their programme. another point why cram 4 channel races into 3 weekends over a four week period
