vic i know this baseilly was saying it should happen more often as in i know parts where there are transoporters are going to the same race point and there half full in two feds and they raise the membership for these members in the two feds last year when it gets to the old bird season 2 lorries going up the road two the same race point is mad i dont race in any of these feds but i have seen it .

shouldent feds join to geather and split the fees on these long races anyway i see transporters going up the road half full and then even u could win your own fed and a option of a combine with the price of fuel i think this is the only way to go

yes but this will end ure season i reckon might get the result u are lookin for but after this race if u do it i reckon ure finished might be a idea maybe midweek give them a handy toss back to the hens if u leave more info with what ure doing ill try to help

of course they can but not on a regular basis different animal all together i race sprint and there is no way id win on a consistent basis if i had 600 mile pigeons are u talking in a good fed or national as if u are racing in a good competive fed there is no way ud win on a regular basis u will hear of great pigeons that put in unbelievable performances on both lets say 150 to 800 but very rare and one more thing when u hear this ask ure self about how many birds and the general competition in the area could be these perfomaces are down too bad competition always look at velocities have seen these birds but when u really look into it there can be other reasons for the win just look at other sports the great trainer aiden o brien and Micheal Stout wouldn't put there guineas winners which is short distance racing in to the grand national not a hope only the real great pigeons can win in top competition in both distances hope i didnt bore u

great post jimmy maybe would be an idea if we set up a thread where if new fanciers come in they we can send them too it keep things simple like the way u just have well put up some info on it and then is closed so it doesnt get to completed as it might frighten new fanicers off i can only imagine when a new one comes in sees us talking about meds diseases and all that id imagine it would frighten them think it would be a good idea

look lads many roads lead to Rome all u have to do is look at a few different books videos etc what i would say is treat during racing and not in winter lennut the only thing i would say is that if this fancier buys birds off another fancier that has treated for a few generations i reckon he will have to do the same as the birds wont have the natural resistance and i think 99%of fanicers are treating for worms cocci cancer now only advice i would give is to ask the man u buy the birds off and see what he does i reckon ull have to do something the same

this is about the pigeons only defence as most hawks like to attack with surprise and also use the the dive method and the birds are just lettin the hawk no that they can see them if u could tell us the shape of the wings we should be able to sort u oout with what they are and a approx size would help too

i would say pigeons that are winning today and that goes with evert breed so dont look at at famous names and pigeons that were winning 10 20 years back after that it up too u o yeah most impoertant location location location what more can i say

yeah mate ib is probally right is there any green in them maybe the birds could do with a good multivitaim as well to prop tem up a bit just keep an eye out forthe green useally if u see that there is something wrong a pic here might be usefull

yeah ull see these results there is always an expection to the rule but i would say most birds that put in these results are a 1 time thing and useally breed noting if u look at the birds at the top of any national a lot time ull see them scoreing well in there fed or what ever leading up to the race what we all should look for in pigeons is that get results on a regullar basis not hopeing that a pigeon will get in on a smash race i would agree that u might have a bird maybe a little slower that needs that harder day but who wants to keep pigeons for a smash race doesent make any sence i like to top the fed when i see the top names in the fed direclly behind me or national not when i see someone that was never there before i know it wasent a true race something went wrong consisatacy is the word and that what we should all be looking for like i have a 3 year old cock 2 first clubs many other top 10 postions in the club he has 18th fed 20th fed and hes not staying in my raceing loft this year as i know hell never win a nationall and cant see him win a fed simple as way i see it there could be a champion squeallar in my young bird loft and he might not get the chance so why keep him

would agree with all your points merlin was just saying in 99%of cases i think if the average fancier want to be the top man in there area id say stick to a single field with your birds ie sprint and so on would agree totally with your point about a good pigeon winning at many distaces but id still say if u had a fanicer wining at lets say 150 mile and 450 mile with the same pigeons in a top fed on a regullar basis which there are on only a few in Britain he'd still tell u his birds are better at 1 or the other in joy when a good post likes this comes up some very good points on here
