they had a saintes race for fanciers up here think it was 7/800 mile and not many went to it

Dougie had polecat/ferrets for fifty year along with pigeons and not once did they ever get into loft in fact never ever escaped from hutch (bad management)if they do but would never trust them if they got into loft as they are born hunters and killlers but would think it near impossible for them to get anywere near to catch a pigeon and pigeon would really have to be daft to even go near it as the first thing they would do is fly out their road ,but your right Dougie a bit of common sense and the ferret could have been picked up no problem instead of being killed maybe some poor wean who s pet it was left door open as it looked in not bad condition and dont think it would have came from to far away

think every club should have a rule that young birds should not be fed going to the race ,ok might upset some people but it will certainly stop the spread of any nasties when birds are sick in basket :001:

dont know were it is its on face book but there is a lot of pigeons being shot no matter were it isand makes you wonder is it happening hear with the amount thats being lost and not getting reported
