Clubs becoming Federations ????
GREENGRASS replied to GREENGRASS's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
as a member of the new toon fed i must reply to old bird we were in fact the biggest club in the real glasgow fed ...desperate ha ha we will still be flying our doos no matter 1st west sec 29 open newbury 3 inreg f yb nat maybe we will end up a long distance club but for now we carry on regardless yes you were certainly the biggest in the glasgow fed and I am not talking about clubs ;D ;D ;D, your 9 lofts dwarfed the 25 plus lofts of campsie and chryston but only in your tiny isolated world. "3 inreg f yb nat" just a pity you actually need to own the bird you time in. 1st west section 29th open fantastic flying wee mick well done. could you also tell us why the good fanciers of renfrew decided to have nothing to do with you after one season was it that you messed them around so much they voted to ditch you, strange that. remember when you have finished falling out with everybody else you can still fall out with each other.................ooppps too late that has started already. lets just wait and see how long the current pres of the shu remains a member of the aptly named WOS club. -
anyone have a guess at what the birdage might be, i know some fanciers think the nationals should be convoyed and liberated seperately but i think it will be great to have a large convoy of birds all heading back to scotland. would like to be able to compare the velocities from all the feds competing to see how evens out.

Clubs becoming Federations ????
GREENGRASS replied to GREENGRASS's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
well have you heard of a new club called a "championship club" mentioned over in the east. does anyone with a ring list for this year see any mention of a "championship club" located in the east, or does anyone know anything about it. -

henrik did the east of scotland change it name this year, the one mentioned was a "championship club" is this seperate from the east of scotland or is this a new one, or maybe midweek club or trainning club etc. -
We used to have more than 20 plus lofts all within a few streets where i grew up but not all were racing their birds, some kept fantails, rollers, tumblers but i was smitten with the racing pigeons of my grandfather. i think once you have kept them you never are far from them. the bug when it bites is hard to shake off.

Clubs becoming Federations ????

bruno your opening line in your last posting proves that you did not fully read my previous post so perhaps you should do so. the reason you are going in circles is you have tried to have sly digs at a situation that you have admitted to not knowing anything about, very poor show. -
Clubs becoming Federations ????
GREENGRASS replied to GREENGRASS's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
this was the whole purpose of the thread bruno but you seemed to have missed it, how does a club get federation status and a delegate to the shu. you are a member of the shu please tell us. nobody ever tried to stop dumbarton from flying their doos they effictively stopped themselves. let me ask you does this situation sound familiar, attend meeting vote on proposition, loose vote, leave to create own club. so going by your prevoius postings shouldn`t dumbarton have stayed and tried to sort it out from within, are they walkers, survival tactics, can you see where i am going here bruno. closing the stable door after the foal has bolted here bruno. on your point of falling membership i actually agree with you more federartions/clubs should merge to combat the numbers decreasing but do you think it will ever happen, thought so. on your mention of club members numbers being cast in stone maybe need a stonemason as the west of scotland club have banned mr traynor and his son well when i say banned they wrote to the cumbria region sec of the rpra and advised him that the loft location of mr traynor and son had been banned, now check you rule book and tell me where it states the shu has power to ban a loft location. ps. mr traynor has still not recieved his letter to inform him, strange but true. -
good photos bazza and did you say they were taken with your phone, very good quality and the birds look great are they kept in an avairy over the winter.

Firstly bruno in a earlier post you mention that if you don`t know about a situation or incident you dont post about it, you then admit to not knowing anything about the dumbarton situation but it did not stop you posting some very biased opinions regarding it so i take it you are then by your own words guilty of double standards, why. dumbarton attanded a meeting of the glasgow fed took part in democratic vote and lost it, then tried every underhand trick in the book to get a "payoff" from the fed, the details of which have been posted on here numerous times before so i wont go over them again. you seem unable to seperate your role as a moderator from your personal opinions, and as you know the two should never mix. -
Clubs becoming Federations ????
GREENGRASS replied to GREENGRASS's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
firstly to clear up the numbers game the west of scotland has 11 lofts and there fore cannot be a federation going by the "rule book". partnerships and non flying members do not count. t3doo you have come on here before and made an a**e of yourself trying to justify the actions of mr barlow and his dwindling band of followers and yet again ypour posts have no substance to give them any worthly credit. secondly bruno people in glass houses should not throw stones. remember mark from barbylofts, short and repressive memory. :o i also see you have no comments on the massive ayshire club/fed which has also been given a delegate, i wonder why. -

Yes i agree sad and and very embaressing but surely the fact the membership sit back and allow it happen is more worrying, think about it a delegate from west of scotland club having a vote to represent 11 lofts or the new ayrshire delegate voting on behalf of 6 lofts powerful positions to have but why, something does not add up here but i wonder why. -
There seems to be an alarming number of clubs here in Scotland who have for some reason been given Federation status, the West of Scotland has been talked about on here already and as we all know it was only created to give the president a back door entrance to keeping his delegates position, but now a "championship club" from the east of scotland has been given a delegate and also a club in Ayrshire has been allowed to have a delegate, Anybody know why the power brookers need so many extra delegates all of a sudden..................

Hope all goes well jimmy and if there is anything you need or anything i can do just give me a ring.
-
Hope you get something sorted out Rab and Danny as i know you are always the first to help out with youngsters for new starts and charity birds. Must be some sort of disease in our sport where fanciers who put the effort and hours into their birds and who become successful and competitive are then treated so badly. How hollow a victory when you have to remove the top fanciers to gain it, far more satisfactory to know your birds have beaten the best in your club/section/fed, fair and square, shame on your clubmates.
